Quote of the day
posted at 10:40 pm on August 18, 2009 by Allahpundit
“Suggestions (but don’t just copy the text, originality is more effective):
Be respectful and calm-NO ANGER. Do not use words like ‘socialist’ or ‘communist’ or other inflamed rhetoric… Tell them that you are a loyal Beck listener and take great offense to their pulling their ads in response to the form emails of activists and college kids they hired to create a false impression that they are a majority. You want to continue to support [their] company, but if they boycott Glenn Beck, your family will boycott [them].”

I called Gieco to cancel my Policy. They asked me “why” and I informed them that, “I am a supporter of GB”.
In addition, I sometimes shop at Wal-Mart and purchase Sargento products and I will no longer be purchasing from them.
And now for some negative talk…….
If they, Wal-Mart, Sargento, and Gieco, decide at a later date to renew their support, I may reconsider my decision until then, Mom & Pop stores will get my CASH…..$$$
Money Talks, and right now all the Babys are crying. Let’s see how long it takes for them to start missing the CASH and start talking!

Glenn Beck is pretty much dead on pointing out that the President doesn’t like white people. He went to a racist church for 20 years for crying out loud, and only separated himself from the church after video of the pastor shouting all sorts of inflammatory racial epitaphs got national airplay. After very first national racial incident after Obama took office and he couldn’t wait to get the facts before blaming whitey in a national speech. Yeah, I would say the evidence backs Beck on this. Whether or not you like Glenn Beck, he did hit the nail on the head on this one.

I don’t watch Glenn Beck, but I wrote GEICO an email telling them I would find another insurance company if they didn’t advertise on the Beck show. I’ve been their customer for a number of years.
Also, I told them that if I did not renew my policy I would convince my friends and family to eschew their services in the most creative ways imaginable.
We can’t have the marketplace of ideas controlled by leftists.

Beck is an asset for FOX. He pulls in a different group of viewers but he holds the old ones. He has these big wide open blue eyes that lock on the camera. It is somewhat hypnotic. I think he doesn’t blink as much as other people.
Who else on tv is like him? He is the scariest interviewer on tv. Whoever sits next to him had better have their act together or he will dismantle them. Those of certain principles will have no trouble with him. those who are uncertain or liars would be shredded. It is obvious why so many avoid him. The usual games do not apply on his show
I appreciate the list of sponsors. The least I can do is stop using their products. I have no problem not using GEICO. After watching a few hundred GEICO commercials I gave them a call a couple years ago and was told they did not take applications from Michigan over the phone anymore. I asked if they wanted me to write them a letter and was told, ‘You could’ which sounded a lot like Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Don’t know if that still happens but elephants never forget

I’m a sick, twisted freak in California that listens to GB on my AM radio (with a set of headphones) at my desk from 9 to noon. Only issue though is that Beck and Rush are on at the same time…and I’m too cheap to buy a membership at either website to listen to archived shows online.
I’ve already taken inventory of products I’m currently using that are on the boycott list, and once they’re used up I’ll be switching to their competitors. Best Buy will hurt though, it’s like Toys R Us for big kids.

Got responses to my e-mails from Proctor & Gamble:
P&G did not pull advertising from the Glenn Beck show. This particular show, along with many others, was not part of our scheduled program buys. As you might expect, we do not advertise on every program.
And Wal-Mart:
Thank you for contacting the Global Ethics Office regarding a recent episode of the Glenn Beck Show and Wal-Mart’s advertising relationship with the show specifically and Fox News in general. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. continuously reviews media plans. In keeping with our internal guidelines to avoid content that is highly polarizing, we’ve instructed our agencies, as of August 3rd, not to run Walmart advertising in news commentary shows on national cable networks. This would include the Glenn Beck Show.
I’m going to write back to WalMart and tell them that running advertising on any network that airs footage of President Obama would, in fact, be a violation of their “internal guidelines to avoid content that is highly polarizing.”
