the funny thing is, she probably really believes she is a “moderate”. All of her friends are probably far left, so from where she sits, she is right in the mainstream and does not understand that she is a far-leftist.

Ann – you never did explain how it is that you think insurance companies, who pay for health care – are responsible for the high cost of health care.

I know that thinking trhough that will likely be very difficult for you, as it will shake your core belief that the evil insurance companies are the cause of high health care costs, but an answer would be nice.

I posted my ideas in another thread, which I still think makes sense.

There is no fringe involved in this. The “fringe” on the left are our elected national officials. The “fringe” on the right are average citizens.

Moderates are a figment of the media’s imagination.

Well, of course, we’ll have to agree to disagree. I think you’re into fantasy thinking there, though.

The lion’s share of RL people I know are most definitely moderate and see what’s going on. They don’t like either fringe side in this debate.

Obama is a socialist, or progressive or communist … whichever you prefer. Of that there is no question. If you knew the history of communism and progressivism in America you’d agree. Nothing he has done so far, or wants to do disagrees with that.

Moderates are a figment of the media’s imagination. The only reform that’s needed is to get the government out of way. Government caused this supposed “health care crisis” … remove the cause.

The left has embarked on a campaign of threats and intimidation while the average person is voicing their concern, fears and outrage at ever increasing government control of their lives.

On this, we agree. The left has squandered its airtime to demonizing people. It’s also turned on them. Frankly, they appear silly when they try to portray this obvious grassroots outcry to paid lobbyists. And using the terminology, such as facists, brownshirts, unAmerican?

Good grief, but they need to get out of DC once in awhile.

No. There is no rational way you can compare the actions and words of elected leaders to people who have valid concerns and fears.

You need to move to Cuba. Go on, just for a year so you can experience the wonders of a government controlled life. Look on the bright side! You’ll get free health care. Take your non-profit with you.
