And while you’ve got Jack on the horn, Ed, be sure to ask him — if he thinks the White House is sending up a white flag — whether he believes it’s instead one of those old Soviet-style head-fake maneuvers wherein the Kremlin, when its expansionist goals would run into trouble, simply took a step backward and waited for everyone to be lulled to sleep before picking up where they left off and taking two more steps forward.

It is definitely a fake out. At this point, they are taking a step-back because of the overwhelming pressure of conservatives (Dem and Rep alike). However,as an article HA posted this morning says, the House Democrats are not planning to remove the Public Option from their bill. Besides, at any point, the liberal cohort could amend the bill, oh say, around 3 a.m. the day of the vote. We must remain vigilant.

Ohh You mean noon time “EASTERN TIME”. I only caught 20 minutes of it. Next time I guess.
