You know, it’s very, very difficult to carry on a conversation with you when every reply you give has absolutely NOTHING to do with the post you are replying to.

Your reply did not disprove ANYTHING in my post.

Which would seem to indicate you really have no real idea what you’re talking about.

Mainly because there’s still no healthcare plan. All we have are some initial markups from several congressional committees, which differ from one another in significant ways. The White House’s is waiting to see what emerges from the House and Senate before insisting on what it wants, maybe in conference committee.

You sound like a brain dead sheep. Why would I care what prayer you say?

You seem to forget the Golden Rule . And what about that separation of Church and state thing?

Again would Jesus bring a gun to my door to make me pay my taxes? Would he spend the money on abortions?

The Bible mentions that the leaders of governments are put into power by God.

Every day in the Orthodox Church we pray for them.

Let us pray for the peace of the world.

Bodily healing is provided for in the atonement completed in Christ at the cross at Calvary. See Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, and 1 Peter 2:24. An excellent book on the topic is Bodily Healing and the Atonement by Dr. T. J. McCrossan.

Being a Spirit-filled Christian I rely upon the atonement all the time. It works great. It has saved me from having surgical work on my gums and knees.

Jesus has already provided health care for believers, so ObamaCare is irrelevant. What God provides the world through Jesus Christ comes through His sacrifice at Calvary, not through governmental programs. That is why you never see Jesus advocating any type of governmental systems in the Bible.

It is time that liberals come to grips with the fact that they do not understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, and therefore should stop making such ludicrous statements such as those given in this video.

As a Christian, yes I do believe that society as a whole ought to provide a safety net so that the poorest and least fortunate among us do not get utterly screwed over the care of their health.

But that goes COUNTER to Christ’s teachings.

Christ did not speak about societies and governments – He spoke about individual salvation and responsibility.

And He also spoke about freedom of choice. Thus anything that FORCED people to help would be fundamentally UN-Christian.

If a group of like-minded people got together to pool their resources to help the poor – then that would be fine and in keeping with basic Christian doctrine.

But as soon as you assign a higher power (government) to take care of it and then add in that people have no CHOICE in whether to help out or not…

…well now you’ve just gone outside of Christ’s teachings.

trouble is, ceasar don’t own sh1t. It belongs to US.
