Another disgrace: In Nigeria, Hillary hints that 2000 U.S. election was rigged

As Allahpundit would say, she’s a special lady:
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton compared Nigeria’s corruption and electoral problems with the 2000 Florida presidential election recount during a town hall meeting today in Abuja, Nigeria.
Answering a question about Nigeria’s recent election, Clinton said, “In 2000, our presidential election came down to one state where the brother of the man running for President was the governor of the state. So we have our problems too.”
That is a tasty combo of the Obama administration’s “America sucks” foreign policy, coated in some rich, gooey Bush Deragement Syndrome. Sure, the “media recounts” of the 2000 election showed that the recounts requested by Al Gore or ordered by the Florida Supreme Court would have still resulted in a victory for George W. Bush. Why would that stop our country’s chief diplomat from suggesting that her predecessors in government were there illegitimately? Certainly not Pres. Obama’s faux insistence that we let go of the politics of the past.
The sad thing is that this story will be heard by few Americans, and will register with even fewer. The silver lining? If the US Secretary of State can bestride the globe this drenched in BDS — almost nine years after the fact — without notice, what are the odds that a few anti-ObamaCare protesters are going to scare anyone today? (hint: Long odds.)
Update (AP): Here’s the clip. Between this and her “I’m the secretary of state” freakout the other day, she’s having a hell of a trip.

Hey Hillary,
What about the Dem Primary in 2008. Now that was voter fraud par excellence. Two States were disenfranchised and super-delegates were bought off. You are a DISGRACE AND LOOK LIKE A FOLL AS SOS.

She may have a point re: elections she just got the years wrong.
I wonder how many votes total Pinnochio manufactured via ACORN, dead voters, bused in college kids voting twice not to mention the beat down Pinnochio put on her in the primaries with his thugtastic turnout and serious disenfranchizing of the Clintoon voters. Ask a Hillary supporter in caucaus states… they got rolled!
dhunter on August 12, 2009 at 8:57 PM
I’m pretty convinced it was a math error more then a miracle frankly. If you watched those last returns come in, it was obvious that the numbers were rigged.
The networks called Florida for Gore with no reason to do so – Bush was ahead at the time – but when they called it for Bush, there was no realistic way Gore could have won. And yet watching the returns, apparently all the most virulently Gore districts submitted in unison after the total they needed to produce was pretty much known. They just failed to produce an extra 2k votes or so.

yeah well, as far as Democrats are concerned, there are two kinds of elections: the kind they win and the kind that are stolen. it is always like that with these whiny ass cry babies.

The big question is why is she rubbing her left breast throughout the statement? Does it excite her to think about rigging elections or is a force of habit that she developed when she had to talk about rigging elections while Bill watched?

Not me, bub. If I had to spend any time around either Hill or Bill, it would be Bill. At least I could probably get a drink and some laughs.
I would rather leave my daughter alone with Bill than Hill, too. Who knows what she might do to hetero woman who is prettier and smarter. Okay, I am her dad but setting that aside, she has poor Hill beat, aces to deuces.
An apoogist tried to assign her Congolese dissertation to fatigue, so I guess she is still sleep-deprived, among other deprivations. I expect the Dark Continent doesn’t fit her idea of fun, either.
It is pretty clear that SecState is not a czar-level position, which may not be such a bad idea, given that State is riddled with leftists like the FL couple who were spying for the Castro brothers. I know there are good ones, but it wouldn’t hurt to marginalize quite a number of these solons.
As to Hill, she might as well be counting snowflakes in Alaska. Bama outscrewed her this time. I suspect she has a long, long memory and will collect on the debt sometime, which suits me fine. Bill may well be out of the equation, which will hurt Hill…she needs the cover and goodwill the man (incredibly) still commands. Barry needs some marginalizing hisself, and she might be man enough to do it.

One of the interesting things I’ve noticed is that the Dems are very eager to point to Jeb Bush (who recused himself) and Katherine Harris as sure signs of fraud.
They all seem to have forgotten about Bob Butterworth – Attorney General and chair of Al Gore’s 2000 presidential campaign in Florida.
Odd that they don’t remember that…

I bet she told the good people of Nigeria to get in bed with SEIU, UAW, ACORN, and a group of rich group of Hollywood types – backed by Soros – to fund a nationwide election of Democrat Sec of State (who count the votes) if they want to avoid losing an election. Failing that, the state dept can loan them the Black Panther thugs to imtimidate…

Hillary is a tragic figure in American politics. She sold her soul to Barry by accepting SOS instead of staying a PUMA. Then Barry appoints czars and she gets left out of the loop. Now she is crying for attention and sounds shrill.
Even Bill tramples on her by saying “I haven’t debriefed Hillary yet”.
But I am sure Bill de-briefed some other skank in Vegas.
I would rather have Bill at POTUS than Barry though. And that admission makes me feel ill.

Well, there is a definite pattern here. In 1984 and 1988, for example, the Dems were pretty honest about what they wanted to do and they got crushed. In 92, 96, and 08 they lied, lied, and then lied some more and won. In 00, Gore tried the same strategy, but he wasn’t a very good liar…

Are they still at this? Good grief, will the Democrats ever let the 2000 Election go? G.W. Bush won, A.A. Gore lost. Get. Over. It.
That BDS still exists is really quite shameful. I mean what did Bush do to deserve such undying hatred from the left? Not to mention some segments of the right? I had some differences with George W. Bush, but overall I agreed with him and I respected him, still do.

I guess I wasn’t clear in my post…there was rigging in 2000, it just wasn’t Bush’s team that was guilty of the rigging. Gore thought they had it in the bag…so didn’t go too far…but no worries, by the time 2008 came around Obama’s team knew how to tighten up a few loose ends to tip it their way.

It is going to be very interesting to watch what Hillary is going to say and do in the coming months as President Obama becomes more and more unpopular and politically weaker and weaker.

How tight of a wad would her panties be in?
Then again, 2008 was probably rigged, thank you SEIU, ACORN, and Central America. This will probably be the norm until those in Congress remember the Constitution is not a snot rag.
