Guess who’s number one on the NYT bestseller list again
posted at 10:22 pm on August 12, 2009 by Allahpundit
Confirmed: Last week was no fluke. Thanks again to everyone who bought a copy. So hot have sales been, in fact, that Amazon is momentarily out of stock; the next shipment arrives on Sunday, in case you haven’t ordered yours yet.
One nice perk of the book’s success is seeing the boss back in primetime on FNC. Here she is with Hannity for the third time in as many weeks talking about the epic fail of Democratic demagoguery since the health-care town halls started. I’m actually surprised that Sean didn’t spend more time on her posts last night about the “human props” at The One’s rallies; there’s a little bit on it at the end, but not enough to reflect the fact that she drove that story in the blogosphere today. Incidentally, just as she predicted, the nutroots is now busy trying to work up some phony outrage about her “stalking” a child. Follow my links to her posts and you’ll see that the “stalking” amounts to (a) quoting a Boston Globe article and (b) noting the fact that the kid’s mother is an Obama donor and apparatchik. The White House, incidentally, insists that the girl was chosen totally at random to ask The One a question. You buying it?
Exit question: Given the shamelessness with which the left is now willing to invoke the moral authority of children, why don’t congressional Democrats go the rest of the whole nine yards and just make kids their spokesmen? That way, any conservative who accused any child PR agent of spin would become, ipso facto, a “stalker.” It’s foolproof.

Congrats, Michelle!
I loved and hated your book at the same time.
I loved it for all the detailed information and I hated it for knowing even more about the cesspool that is Obamaland.
If you’re lucky you can achieve the same stellar book sales numbers as Pelosi’s bestseller “Know Your Power: A Message to America’s Daughters”.

Congrats to my pacific islander sister! I’m doing everything I can to convert more of my liberal Polynesian brothers and sisters to the Right side.

What’s truly sad is that Mrs. Malkin is more coherent than O’Reilly and Hannity combined. I’d say the difference among them is that she actually resources her own works. (Relying on another person to research always lessens the passion.)
Do you not want that sort of job or something?
Vanbasten on August 13, 2009 at 12:25 AM
Gawd, I hope this sticks in the NYT’s craw! We will never stop, until you either stop the lie… or die!

Mazels Michelle!

Does anyone smell that? It’s liberal fear.

Ed, AP, other M.O.M.M. (Minions of Michelle Malkin) puh-leeeeeez, I’m beggin’ ya, tell her that she needs to speak to the lighting guy on Fox and get him squared away.
When MM appears on creepy, left-wing morning shows with Matt Lauer and those menopausal crones on ABC, the lighting is magnificent and the make-up is perfect. What’d Billy Crystal used to say, “She looooooooks mah-velous!”
But every time she does a remote shot on Fox, she looks like one of those Filipina tarts who hangs around the bars in Subic Bay or outside of Clark AFB.
She’s a beautiful and intelligent woman and deserves far better treatment.

Not that there’s… anything wrong with that…

Now I can finally thank Michelle for all she does for us in speaking the truth. Great work, and congrats on the best seller–I’m picking up my copy this Friday–have a plane trip to Georgia and want to read it. (Of course, maybe that is not a good thing–I will be in a cramped space, with a bunch of strangers–and no wall to bang my head into…)

Dear Michelle,
You are great. I hope you end up with your own show on Fox. If you do please try to get Red Eye moved to a better time slot.

OK former Governor Palin fans:
I wish we could have zipped MM’s or Coulter’s brain into the Admirable Alaskan at times during the last campaign. For example, it would have been interesting to swap for a small time during the debates or a few of the interviews. The MSM would have appeared even more inane than usual declaring the Dems the debate winners after such a contest. And Couric the carnivore would likely have been bagged herself.

I can’t wait for my copy. Way to go bosslady.

My copy is proudly displayed along with Liberty and Tyranny, Commn Sense (Glen Beck), Liberal Fascism, and Basic Economics (Sowell).

Actually, it might be true. If 95% of the people there were bussed in by the White House, then of course they’re going to “randomly” pick an Obama cultist.
Why not just use black children? Racist/Stalker double whammy!

Dear Michelle: You deserve this and so much more. Congratulations. Good job!

Here in Virginia, they have this nice ad campaign (funded by the AD Council aka Our Money) with two little girls talking about leaving the stereo on in the other room with the tag line:
“Children are using their energy wisely, what’s YOUR excuse?”
They already use kids as spokesmen for their cause.

Hot Air is also a primary spot for Rush’s show prep. My wife and I listen to Rush and she says, “Did you know about this?” And I say, “Yeah, I read it on Hot Air this morning.” And occasionally I can quote some funny commenter on the subject. Y’all are great!

… and I still don’t find it on the bestseller shelves at either Borders or Barnes & Noble.
I’ve been checking pretty much every day for two weeks.
I know .. I live in Chicago .. Obama Nation .. but this is disgraceful.

Michelle, just finished Corruption and you have provided U.S. the necessary facts to keep putting up the good fight against the lording of the left fronting as leadership.
For those that have not read the book yet, it is very informative, well researched and written so any educational level can comprehend it quickly – front to back in two days. Once you pick it up you can not put it down.
MSGTAS on August 13, 2009 at 10:31 AM
Great info & performance by MM…..as usual. So when does MM finally get own show Fox? Get rid of Jerry or Greta. At the very least an hour on the weekend. CMON!
No time to rest on the laurels. Attack attack attack.
VikingGoneWild on August 13, 2009 at 11:38 AM
Michelle is so sharp. I mean, every time I see her talk, she has such command of the facts and lays it out in such a manner that can hardly be challenged. Its no wonder you rarely see a successful challenge of the facts she lays out and instead her critics have to resort to attacks on Bush, as in the View segment. I loved it when that fat beotch Joy whatever got flustered and moved away. Michelle should have her own show, or her own freakin channel. I have to tell you, with all the accusations in Michelles book (i have only read excerpts)I have yet to see anybody even try to refute any of it. Its like its right there in the open, cant be dis proven, and the left just thinks its no big deal the amount of lies and corruption already attached to this adminstration, in just 6 months. WTF is wrong with these people?

Oh, and i just want to say the Twitter Twatter is an airhead and should not receive any free publicity from the best conservative blogs. SHe is a rambling idiot. Im a biker too, and I wouldn’t let her sit on my bike with those hairy armpits. I call her Megan McQueaf, and put her pic right next to Barbara Boxfarts.

reading the chapter on the SEIU—It’s so crooked it should be investigated but is not. Is obama preventing this?

She had to walk past those signs to get in. They were being held by people whom she had to cut in front of to get in.
Cute.

Two days ago, I went to my local Barnes and Noble to get a copy of the book. I looked at the Best Sellers shelf…nothing. I looked at the New Releases…nothing. I looked on all the table displays up front…nothing. I went to the customer service desk and asked where I could find it and the woman punched into the computer and said, “That would be in current events.” And she started to take me back there. I said, in a very non-aggressive way, “Isn’t it customary for newly released books to be in the New Release section?” She ignored me (or maybe she just didn’t hear me, though I wasn’t whispering) and started looking on the shelf in current events. So I asked again, “It’s number one on the NYT bestseller list. Why wouldn’t it be with the other bestsellers?” She got very snippy with me and said, “What difference does it make? Why argue about the location of a book?” I said, “I wasn’t arguing. I was just wondering why a store that wants to sell books would bury the number one bestseller where customers can’t find it. You can’t even find it.” She didn’t like that at all, but didn’t say anything else and went in a huff to check her computer again. She comes back and says they only have 5 and 4 are on hold for other customers. She goes in the back to check for the other, but said she couldn’t find it. She said they would order it for me and I said, “No thanks. I’ll buy it somewhere else.” :(
Maybe I can help keep it on the no 1 list another week. :)

Michelle was great on Hannity last night.
MM is on my list of very influential people. She awakened the nation to the impact of illegal immigration, which before that was just a sidebar. She has held on thru the attacks to expand the awareness of the relationship between the illegal insertion into our nation, and the suppression of rule by law
Malkin is a great articulator and debator. She does not let herself get sidetracked and she carries the authority of her own immigrant background to win attention to her words
Before illegal workers were a joke, or a curiosity, but she connected the dots. Only a few people can affect the motion of a million ton ocean going vessel but those who do have great influence. She will never get enough credit for her successes
I consider Ralph Nader to be similarly influential. Not now, since his own people have tossed him out, but he beat his head against some realities for years and now we take safety equipment seriously.
Notwithstanding Nader’s own proposed solutions, which often involve loss of freedom, he deserves credit for the good he did
It is a short list, influential people, but Michelle deserve to be near the top
