National Health Care Insurance Reform will largely put an end to this painful and usually expensive procedure.

As my good friend Rev. Wright told me, this a myth perpetrated by Joooooos as a way of lining the pockets of mohels around the world. We just want to keep the gynecologists honest and discourage any unnecessary surgeries when you can accomplish the same thing for a few dollars with a box of Q-Tips.

Besides, why cut part of it off before you even know how big it’s going to get? [laughter]

I’m pretty sure being a lawyer himself, he realizes that if a doctor mistreats a patient in the early stages of diabetes and the foot etc ends up being amputated that the doctor better pay up his malpractice insurance premiums because he is about to be taken to the cleaners and perhaps have his license revoked.

Does he REALLY believe doctors don’t try to do all they can to prevent a loss of a foot? REALLY? It’s seriously insulting.

Does he also believe that paying these same doctors 1/16 what they make now will suddenly make them that much better? Idiot.

There lies the crux. My wife is a doctor who has had to cut off not only someones foot but their entire leg. But it didnt start with their foot it started with one toe. and they were told what to do to not have to cut another toe off. then when they came back and another toe was cut off they were told what to do to stop from having to lose a foot. etc etc. This is the double edge of freedom. You have the right to mess up your life. Its not my responsibilty to pay for it when you do…..

Oh yes he is! If he wasn’t making that link, why would he mention the cost of reimbursement? He could have said, “with proper diet and preventive care diabetes patients could have better outcomes and prevent tragic amputations”, but he specifically referred to the cost and implied that eeevil surgeons are eager to cut off limbs for cash.

But hey, I have an idea. Since Dr. Obama is such a know-it-all, how about he resign from the Presidency and take over the job of Surgeon General?

Only if people take personal responsibility for their own quality of life, and apply the preventive measures.

It’s not the government’s job to monitor a diabetic’s diet and lifestyle choices, nor is it their job to make sure the overweight person takes a 30 minute walk every day.

Then my spouse and I went to the one (Tea Party Two) in Philadelphia the weekend after April 15. We were the only representatives from DE in that one.
