Video: The mother of all ObamaCare lies
posted at 8:45 pm on August 10, 2009 by Allahpundit
Via Breitbart. Naked Emperor News is calling this “Obama’s Mother of All Political Lies,” but that’s overselling it. The true mother of all Obama lies is his pledge not to raise taxes on the middle class. In fact, this isn’t even the biggest lie he’s told about ObamaCare; that would be his promise to somehow make the program deficit-neutral. What this may be is the biggest lie he’s told about “changing the culture in Washington,” a key element of the Hopenchange mythos that’s rapidly disintegrated as he’s made waiver after waiver for the lobbyists he claimed would never work for his administration and ignored the five-day waiting period for public debate he swore would precede his signature on bills passed by Congress. Those sins were venial compared to the bargain he struck with pharmaceutical companies, though: In return for the feds agreeing not to try to negotiate lower drug prices once ObamaCare is in effect, pharma’s going to go all out to the tune of $150 million in advertising to get the bill passed and hand The One the political victory he’s desperate for. Won’t that mean much higher costs for the program than it might otherwise have had? Sure, but so what? The point here is getting Obama reelected, not designing the most efficient possible health-care program. And after all, it’s your money, not his. Even lefties like Robert Reich can’t believe it’s come to this.

I would say his most shameless lie is the combination of “no tax increases on under $250k (or $200 k depending on when you asked)” and the “net spending cut”

See Obama’s moon sink down in the sky
Every dream he has spun is a lie
Here’s the one bitter lesson of Obama’s history
His soul should no longer remain a mystery
His many faces change
What you thought you knew grows ever more strange
And he has so many faces
His real self erases
With all those lies dancing in his empty eyes!

It should but his supporters are blind, deaf and dumb when they want to be. No one will hold him to account. They are too personally invested in him and will ignore reality, even the man’s own words, to protect their egos. It’s kinda sad really.

The mother of all lies about the healthcare crisis is that there is a healthcare crisis. The great majority of people are satisfied with their healthcare arrangements.
All the other lies stem from that one.

massrighty on August 10, 2009 at 9:13 PM
I don’t understand how ANY sentient being could EVER listen to this man so much as a TAD and take him seriously. He has proven himself to be an unemotional liar, which pretty well diagnosis Barack Obama as a sociopath, psychopath, certainly pathological of some sort. He lies with “ease” and aplomb, appearing to be truly engaged with some truth he’s telling, then it’s proven by his very actions and later behaviors that he’s been lying.
It really does not get any more pathological than that. The man does not know he’s lying, or, he’s lying with such ease and practice that it’s not a deal for him to say anything. Either option defines a really disturbed mind.

Everyone should go watch that scene from 12 MONKEYS, the one where Cole (character played by Bruce Willis) is “in the past” but before that panel in the asylum, trying to explain to them that he’s actually in the future, which is still his past.
“Could I just make one phone call, please. I could clear this all up if I could just make one phone call.”

Obama is on a path to kill our senior citizens, cancel our freedoms and liberties and completely obliterate this once great Republic. How anyone in their right mind could voted for this tyrant defies imagination.

Have to say that it’s a bit shocking how quickly Obama’s administration has unraveled.
What’s most interesting about these lies is that he can’t place the blame back onto the GOP as they have nothing to do with the economy.
These are promises so blatantly broken that, if committed by Bush, would’ve caused a MoveOn march on Washington.
What’s also shocking is how easily uncovered they are yet still being ignored by the MSM.

Good God, the lies just keep coming at us at a fast and furious pace.
The one bright spot about Obama’s shameful, blatant rack of lies is that in 2012, the American public is going to be wary of any politician that comes off slick and polished like him.
This bodes well for the candidate whom the public will deem honest, trustworthy and candid – the breath of fresh air candidate who may stumble now and then, but one whom the public will know they can trust.
Obama, much more than any other politician in modern times, has just blown it for any politician who has ever been caught in flip-flops or lies.

Maybe someday soon the light will slowly begin to penetrate into your dim little world. Listen to me; Big business and big government are always going to be natural allies.
Oh, they may have their little tiffs and kerfuffles when they get in each others’ way, but at the end of the day they always come back to each other for support and validation. Much like an old married couple who’ve grown cranky and crotchety in the same house over the years, they can’t do without each other in spite of how constantly they annoy each other.
At the bottom of everything else, they share the same basic “mountain-top” view of the world and its people. At their very best they try desperately to work for the benefit of humanity, but try as they might they can’t quite imagine themselves actually being one. They are constantly looking out through the tinted windows of their silent limousines and trying to remember what it was like out there and vacuously congratulating themselves for the effort.
Big government and big business and big labor are fundamentally and eternally soul mates, and when their “mountain top” world is threatened by those ungrateful scum on the other side of the tinted glass, they will come together and defend themselves with a bare faced ferocity that will take your breath away.
So Obama has gotten in bed with the pharmaceutical giants and you’re surprised? Hitler got in bed with the Krupps and the Heinkels of his day too, and I’m sure that the party faithful like Roehm were outraged and confused as well. Like the starry-eyed little tart from the wrong side of the tracks who really did believe that her married rich boyfriend was going to actually divorce his pedigreed society heiress to marry her and redeem her surrendered virtue, you stand confused and betrayed?
Wake up boys and girls, they all live in a different world than you and I, and when all is said and done they will always be loyal to their own.
