MSNBC anchor: Is “socialist” the new “N-word”?

Via the ‘Busters. Let’s address his question with a thought experiment. If the very caucasian President Hillary had pushed through an $800 billion stimulus atrocity, taken control of General Motors and fired the company’s chairman, passed cap-and-trade, and then made her move on universal health care, you think any angry conservatives might have dropped the S-bomb on her? Have conservatives ever been known to call Hillary Clinton a socialist in the past, perchance? Then there’s your answer.
This clip goes hand in hand with Cynthia Tucker’s moronic guesstimate that 45-65 percent of town hall protesters are probably racist. It’s precisely because racism is such a radioactive accusation that the left is willing to play fast and loose with the evidence, to the point where they’ll declare something like the Obama/Joker poster “racial” simply by free-associating their way from the image itself to some racist stereotype they can use against the right. Philip Kennicott, the author of that WaPo piece, said it as well as anyone could: “I think race operates in popular culture under the level of explicit consciousness.” In other words, even if you’re not consciously a racist, you’re a racist subconsciously so long as some liberal can free-associate an argument that you are. Neat how that works.

Let’s start using “progressive” as a pejorative for Obama, as in “for a progressive, Obama sure doesn’t dance very well.” Or, “Obama must be a progressive the way he scarfs up that fried chicken.” Or, when those SEIU thugs were beating up Kenneth Gladney, they were heard shouting “you progressive!”

It is funny how you disregard history. Civil rights legislation was the platform of the Democratic party, not the Republican party. Which eventually lost them the South 4 years later. Which used to be their base. Which is now your base. Percentage wise, more Northern Democrat Senators and Representatives voted for the civil rights act of 1964 than their fellow Republicans. Go look it up. I just did, just to be sure. Pretty much the only Democrats in 1964 that didn’t vote for civil rights legislation were from the South, and lo and behold Black people stopped ever voting for them or the Republican party, which soon took hold in the South.

Bull Terry. LBJ needed Republicans to get the civil rights act legislated and brought up to vote on. MLK was a Republican. The Republicans were for civil rights while the dixiecrats were trying to keep the blacks from even voting. It was northern progressives & republicans who were running the voting drives to get the blacks to vote.

The Obammessiah obviously cannot argue the merits or lack of merit of the criticism, so he slaps down the race card whenever he encounters opposition. It is designed to quash critics and legitimate debate. This strategy has worked reliably time and again, so why not try it with each and every criticism.
The truth is Obama is a not just an ordinary Socialist, he is a Stalinist. He believes in eliminating his critics. I don’t mean physically like Stalin. I am speaking in a purely political sense. O’bama also lost married voters, and he and McCain evenly split rural/suburban voters.
O’bama also lost senior voters.

Oh please, get a life. If you think it is productive to throw around the n word and yell down people at meetings like heathens, then you belong somewhere else, because you’re an idiot.
I’ve had enough with the left-wing astroturfing on right-wing blogs. There is no reasonable explanation for defending use of racial slurs like that, beyond a conscious attempt to make the entire site look bad.

I’m realizing lately that the term “racist” has become the scarlet letter used to paint anyone who disagrees with the leftist agenda. It no longer exclusively refers to any non-black who disagrees with a black person about nothing in particular, or any non-Latino who disagrees with a Latino about nothing in particular.
And it seems the term is being applied with a broader & broader brush by the week; Kenneth Gladney is just the latest such “racist”. When will it jump the shark to the extent that even casual observers recognize the use of the term for what it is?

Hillary and Obama were a democrat socialist tag team this past election. Each was an accomplished, dedicated, acolyte of Saul Alinsky. (We know Hillary did her senior thesis on Alinsky…who knows anything about Obama’s thesis, right? He’s keeping all that stuff SECRET, hmmmmm?)
Obama, the more ideological of the duo, the more fervent socialist “community organizer,” managed to win. All his moves post election are right out of of Rules for Radicals.
I don’t accept this as the new “n” word. Obama is a dyed in the wool socialist, a red diaper baby (look it up…a red diaper baby is the son of a communist mother, and dear leader’s mother was, without any doubt whasoever, a very committed communist). Don’t even START with me about this crap.
