Video: Protester beaten by union goons at town hall speaks; Update: SEIU releases attack ad against “teabaggers”
posted at 5:55 pm on August 7, 2009 by Allahpundit
Sounds like the beating was worse than we thought, but that’s what he gets for being a “political terrorist.” His lawyer’s promising a civil suit against the goons and possibly SEIU itself if he can prove that they were intimidating people and “starting trouble” at the union’s behest. Here’s a little something for the jury from one of their directors down in Tampa last night:
Asked earlier today about possible disruption at the event, Kim Diehl of SEIU said, “We’re prepared. We have strategies to deal with it if it should come up.”
Indeed they do. Be sure to read the boss’s post about some of the pleasantries that were exchanged this afternoon on Sebelius’s conference call with SEIU. Hint: It involves a cabinet officer of the United States government sitting silently by while a union capo accuses protesters of “terrorist tactics.”
Update: An Orwellian treat from The One’s union muscle, fretting about the rowdiness of the “teabaggers” they had no choice but to stomp on in St. Louis last night. Someone needs to remix this with the footage of Gladney getting hassled and the cops showing up to arrest a goon in a purple shirt.

Where is Henry Clay Frick when you need him?

Unions are beating people up for Obama so the government can pay for their health care.

UnFreakinBelievable. SEIU thugs go to the St. Louis townhall, yell racial slurs at an anti-Obamacare protester and then beat him up. Then, they release a video depicting themselves as peaceful, harmless protesters and the anti-Obamacare protesters as out of control thugs. Orwellian, indeed.

johnnybgood on August 7, 2009 at 6:16 PM
Good question…..
National Health Care will not effect Union workers as I understand it.
So they have no reason to be at townhalls.
National Health Care will not effect Congress either.
Only how they vote on National Health Care will effect them.
Just remember – unions only represent 13% of Americas workforce.
Many unions are almost bankrupt from the amount of money they
gave Obama. They are just the dumb muscle.

I’m a ccp holder and I have mixed feelings about carrying to a protest. There is just too much liability but, what if I really need it. I would hope people would come to aid. Not only would it be a legal mess to defend yourself for the shooting but, imagine the terror in the crowd if even just one shot was squeezed off.

I lived in Ireland for 8 years; my first year up at University we had a 6 month postal and phone strike. The official cause of the strike? Someone was asked to park his postal van someplace not specified in his contract. I was strikes because someone changed a lightbulb or reset a clock, and that was someone else (in a different union)’s job. Plenty of companies who closed rather than deal with their employees’ unions.
I know that at one point in history unions served a valid purpose, but right now I have absolutely no respect for them. This latest behaviour just reinforces that belief.
