Video: Geraldo goofs on Hot Air
posted at 6:26 pm on August 7, 2009 by Allahpundit
Via RCP. I admit it, I laughed. And let’s face it: We’ve spent three years reminding people what a race-baiting bottom-feeder the guy is. After all this time, he’s entitled to a little pushback. What’s up with everyone else on the set laughing, though? I thought you liked us, Gretchen.
Oh, also: He believes that the protests are mostly astroturf, but — surprise — that they’re not motivated by racism. Second look at Geraldo?

Blowback

I would rather drink rancid seal blubber.

Geraldo is an idiot – the only time I liked watching him is when he got punched in the nose.
dpierson on August 7, 2009 at 6:30 PM
Well, it’s still a step up from Geraldo’s “alleged fiend” description of David Berkowitz.
jon1979 on August 7, 2009 at 6:30 PM
It’s pretty intimidating trying to face down the awesome credibility of Geraldo.
Django on August 7, 2009 at 6:30 PM
Sounded like he was goofing on Michelle Malkin.
Ronnie on August 7, 2009 at 6:31 PM
I disagree with Geraldo here. I think The organized mobs are exercising their constitutional rights. The once who are driven by racism and hate are the birthers
liberal343 on August 7, 2009 at 6:31 PM
Exactly. SEIU, ACORN, and the likes are definitely organized.

“Packing the house”–White House bussed in ONE VOICE supporters from over a hundred miles away.
maverick muse on August 7, 2009 at 6:32 PM
Exactly what evidence does Geraldo, or anyone, have that these town halls are “packed” by…anyone, or any group?
And yeah, guess the G-man isn’t a HotAir fan…which means boy, am I in the right place.
JetBoy on August 7, 2009 at 6:32 PM
Nope, still a laughing stock.

LastRick on August 7, 2009 at 6:32 PM
Geraldo should go back to interviewing porn stars and prostitutes. He has much more credibility in those areas than in serious issues.
AScott on August 7, 2009 at 6:33 PM
Union thugs.
I was at a town hall meeting yesterday. We were not plants. I recognized my friends and neighbors, and we all arrived independently.
Pa Kettle here saw the announcement in the paper and said to Ma Kettle, “Let’s go down and see the Congressman.” Unfortunately, Ma had to work, so I had to go down alone.

What’s that small furry animal on Hairaldo’s upper lip? Jungle Chipmunk?
Del Dolemonte on August 7, 2009 at 6:37 PM
It’s weird that he calls it a conspiracy theory when they say that it looks like the SEIU is coming in to pack the townhalls but doesn’t consider it a conspiracy theory to believe that some unnamed Republican group is doing it.
JadeNYU on August 7, 2009 at 6:37 PM
“Be sure to tune that one in?”
Come on AP, he talks like it’s a radio or TV show and he’s getting a dig in to MM, your boss.
If this is all it takes for you to give him a second look, you are a true Beta male.
conservative pilgrim on August 7, 2009 at 6:37 PM
The arrests after the Townhall mtg. attack on the street were not of Obama’s supporter union thugs (with a reporter tossed in the mix)?
The media is reporting arrests and violence without stipulating WHO was violent, who was violated, and who were arrested.
FOX, of course.
maverick muse on August 7, 2009 at 6:37 PM
Heh.

Del Dolemonte on August 7, 2009 at 6:38 PM
Screw Geraldo …
I was interested in the fact that this President has a “political arm” – Organizing for America.
So I joined it.
I encourage others to also. Sign up at barackobama.com
Check for events in your area – and RSVP for them. I just RSVP’d for a bunch of ACORN events and promised I’d bring ten people with me to each event.
I think we should make this site useless for our Dear Leader.

Wow, I am shocked that Steve and Gretchen laughed along with him.
Not very nice.

Finally watched the vid. So lemme get this straight: G doesn’t think this is “Ma and Pa Kettle raisin’ hell” but is sarcastic of Hot Air which features stories showing that is such a case. You, sir, are a moron.

OT—-From Gov. Palin’s Facebook page. Her statement on Obamacare.
As more Americans delve into the disturbing details of the nationalized health care plan that the current administration is rushing through Congress, our collective jaw is dropping, and we’re saying not just no, but hell no!
The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.
Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.
Rep. Michele Bachmann highlighted the Orwellian thinking of the president’s health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of the White House chief of staff, in a floor speech to the House of Representatives. I commend her for being a voice for the most precious members of our society, our children and our seniors.
We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate. Nationalizing our health care system is a point of no return for government interference in the lives of its citizens. If we go down this path, there will be no turning back. Ronald Reagan once wrote, “Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.” Let’s stop and think and make our voices heard before it’s too late.

Upon lengthy and deliberate reflection I’ve determined that Geraldo is still a douche.
BadgerHawk on August 7, 2009 at 6:40 PM
I know that and to your credit, you faithfully defend her. Except maybe here.
I just don’t see why you would give him “a second look” consideration after he just insulted your boss and HA. He’s a blowhard and rarely deserves the consideration of a first glance.

I told him his name would be on the short list for Treasury Secretary if the Cuda wins in 2012.

a recycled troll has the first post? hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Every time I see Jerry’s sh_t-eating grin it reminds me of ‘Al Capone’s ( empty ) vault, and him with the 101st divulging their plans on national television.
Why is he on Fox? Even CNN wouldn’t hire him

Geraldo: “I was a community organizer. I was a radical Lawyer.”
No, Geraldo, you were born Gerald Riviera then shamelessly adopted the stage name ‘Geraldo Rivera’ to appeal to a Latino audience and bestow upon yourself the claim of being a ‘minority who fought his way up from the dangerous streets’ with a counterfeit ethnicity… then you bamboozled your way through law school and managed to become a low budget lawyer who represented a Puerto Rican street gang called the ‘Young Lords’, then got picked up as a reporter on a little Hispanic TV station for your efforts on behalf of the street gang, then became a low budget Jerry Springer wanna-be who got a TV show and a chair in the face, then lost your show, then somehow managed to baffle someone at a network into believing you could be an ‘objective journalist’, then promptly baited an entire nation with weeks and weeks of promises of fantastic finds waiting to be found in Al Capone’s sealed basement ‘vault’ but found nothing but dirt, dust, and a broken bottle, then you got your butt kicked out of Iraq for broadcasting Coalition Forces battle plans… etcetera ad nauseum.
IE: Gerald Riviera, if anything, you’re a hack.
…

Typical elite reaction on Geraldo’s part. Can’t believe what’s plainly true.
What a dummy (like Obama): Hasn’t read Krugman’s columns but dives right in to a defense of his article in which he accuses townhall attendees who don’t bow and scrape before Obamacare as racists. He points out that most of the attendees are White (which next to CEO and Big Oil, are the terms of demonization of the Left), missing the more obvious fact that it’s senior citizens and people who are OK with their current insurance that are ticked off at an arrogant Congress trying to cram down a piece of crap bill.
Obama is Nancy Pelosi’s House slave. So, who’s the racistin that scenario?
EMD on August 7, 2009 at 6:53 PM
That’s exactly what the SEIU thugs, anti-war protesters, and ACORN troops were, yes. Thanks for agreeing.
amerpundit on August 7, 2009 at 6:53 PM
I liked him better when I was a kid and he was doing the Maury Povich type shows. He gets on my nerves now because he is such a race-baiter. I also don’t like his comments about Lou Dobbs. He needs to stick to missing people stories and leave his liberal politics out of it.

The guy is an ignorant azzhole hack loser!
Liberty or Death on August 7, 2009 at 6:58 PM
Sorry… really droned out after 15secs.
Geraldo would be an embarrassment to any network.
I’d be shocked (but willing to accept) that his show actually got high ratings.
Upstater85 on August 7, 2009 at 7:00 PM
Geraldo is such a selfish, self centered idiot. When he does the news its all about him and not the news. It’s me this and me that, in iraq he said he was fired at by a sniper. He likes to make things bigger than they are when he’s around. It’s always been about him and not the issues.
Geraldo better be careful not to insult Michelle Malkin or else she’ll school his ass again.

It’s a textbook case of projection in which astroturfers — Geraldo, Axelrod, ad nauseam — accuse non-astroturfers of astroturfing. The same goes for teabagging.

One of the happiest day i can remember is many years back someone punched this dirt bag in the nose on T.V..Maybe we can get him to go look for Al Capone’s vault again then after he goes in someone anyone can lock the vault door behind him.
