Video: Democrat screams at constituent for asking tough question on health care

posted at 8:45 pm on August 7, 2009 by Allahpundit

And by “constituent,” I of course mean crypto-Nazi political terrorist. You’ll find the full unedited exchange right here but I’m giving you the news segment because it provides important context. Like, for example, that the guy who asked Scott the question actually is one of his constituents, contrary to what the distinguished gentleman implies. And that his “hijacking” of this town hall (which wasn’t devoted to health care) came during a Q&A session in which attendees were in fact allowed to ask about anything. But aside from that, he’s very, very Nazi, baby.

He appears to be in good health during the interview, too, so the SEIU presence at the meeting must have been light.

Hey Allah can we get a QOTD from Sarah?

The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

katy on August 7, 2009 at 8:57 PM

Wow, these guys must really be under a lot of pressure.

Skandia Recluse on August 7, 2009 at 8:57 PM

The trouble with this is that Scott seems to believe now that any questions regarding health care are coming from mobs of VRWC’ers coming from outside his constituency – they CAN’T be his own constituents, surely. That’s what the White House has done – by insinuations and accusations faithfully amplified by the MSM, they are able to reassure Congress Reps that the only opposition to healthcare comes from right wing extremists.
See, it doesn’t matter whether we on the right are called names or demonized. The only thing that matters now is Obama getting the votes he needs. So the people he needs to convince are Representatives, and the more he does that the more chance the Bill has of getting passed.

Which is why his goons have turned up. They are hoping to provoke dissenting protestors into a violent confrontation which will be edited and spun by their media so they can tell their Reps: “See, it’s only an organized mob. You can vote for the Bill, your seat will be safe next year.”
I just hope not many people are so provoked by this that they physically fight back. Because the coverage will not be fair.

redzap on August 7, 2009 at 8:59 PM

Scott’s district is very safely Dem so he this won’t hurt him a bit but it is symbolic of the fact that Dem members of congress don’t respect the opposition to their health care schemes.

This NHC plan is now a lose/lose for O and Co. If they pass it by 51 votes, then they’re going against the will of the public. If he backs off (unlikely) then they’re viewed as losers. No wonder Obama’s gone all in on the travesty, he really has no choice. Good for him – 2010 can’t come fast enough.

There is a third option. He admits that all the work to date has been crap and starts anew with a real show at bipartisanship and thoughtful legislation. Even though it would be the most statesmanshiplike thing our affirmative action resident has ever done, it is unlikely to occur because he is as arrogant as Congressman Scott. He is seething that his plots are meeting dissent.

Dr. Hill simply asked a very legitimate question. I have a feeling he knows far more about such issues than David Scott.
Notice the words he uses including “hijack”. He assumes that those there are not his constituents and I can assume that based on his response he only listens to one side. The good doctor tried to meet with him prior to this deal but of course as we all have experienced he got nothing.

This is our government .

Sarah tried to warn them
But they held their blue noses up high
All the time she warned them
But they only passed her by

She tried to tell them
But I guess they didn’t care
They turned their backs and
Left her standing there

All the destroyed parts of America that have fallen after him
All the lonely feelings and the burning memories
Everything Herr Obama trashed each time he closed a freedom door
Destroyed parts of America lost forevermore

Herr Obama tried to get me to take a job a while ago
When I finally saw it was just printing more fiat money for his thugs and cronies I didn’t want to go
The country the Founding Fathers gave to me
Herr Obama is tearing it all away
Now there’s nothing left for me to say

All the destroyed parts of America that have fallen after him
All the lonely feelings and the burning memories
Everything Herr Obama trashed each time he closed a freedom door
Destroyed parts of America lost forevermore

When years have passed they’ll start thinking
What fools they’ve been
They’ll look back into the past and
Think of way back then
They’ll know that America lost everything they thought that it could win
I guess they should have listened to their friends

All the destroyed parts of America that have fallen after him
All the lonely feelings and the burning memories
Everything Herr Obama trashed each time he closed a freedom door
Destroyed parts of America lost forevermore

Destroyed parts of America lost forevermore

If you’re out to make a splash, cheri,
Do know your haberdashery!
Buttons, buckles, ruffles and lace
Represent the social scene race!

Be an example to your sex
Give your boot a dapper strap
And it’s smarter if your garter has some snap!
A cravat should be flounced about your neck

Wear a nightcap when you nap
Be bewitching with some stitching on your cap!
Now, drape your cape
And puff your cuff
Embroider those lapels!
Be the new king of the social scene in pastels!

Draw your britches in quite tight
Even more so, and your torso will ignite
Now, smock your frock
Perfume your plume
And let your waistcoat swing!
And the social scene will bow to its new king!

Sadly, I live in his district and feel poorly represented by him, but chose to go to the RedState gathering instead where I wouldn’t feel so insulted. I call his office frequently to voice my opinion on legislation (especially asking him to vote against HR3200). It always seems like I wake up the receptionist.
