Have any of you heard of Glenn losing 3 of his corporate sponsors? After his comment on F&F about Obama Progressive, Proctor & Gamble and 1 other that escapes me at the moment pulled out.

I didn’t hear that. Progressive I don’t have, P&G I’ll have to check on brands so I don’t buy them. Anyone know what the other one is?

It’s far more nefarious. They know exactly what they are doing and why. It makes them richer and more powerful and in turn, untouchable. I see it in MA where sometimes it becomes as obvious as it ever gets.

Second, I spent a lot of time trying to understand what happened to Massachusetts and the Northeast in General. This area was once the engine of America. In short, I came to the same conclusion that Daniel Hannan reached in this video. That is, since the 60s, business after business, industry after industry were driven out by Leftist politicians from places like MA while Government grew and grew. The people became more and more dependent on the Government and these same Politicians, along with their Union allies, for their jobs. That my friends, is how an Engine is turned into a Caboose.

There’s no point in repeating that my support for the man was faute-de-mieux, that I strongly supported GOP Congressional candidates and that, far from believing Obama was the messiah, I kept citing the millenarianism of his supporters as one of the main arguments against him. This is a blog, after all, and blogs allow no shades of gray. Once I had declared for him, qualified as my declaration was, I became an “Obamaniac” – which attitude, by the way, neatly demonstrates the with-us-or-against-us bellicosity that has put so many Republicans off their party.

Nuance people, nuance! How do you possibly expect to get anywhere if you can’t agree with something someone says even though you do really, just because they hold other views you disagree with? That’s the same blinkered attitude as the Obamatons!

What are your opinions on something like, say, the Government pays for a minimum plan.. through EXISTING insurance companies. From there, if we require or want additional coverage we can opt-in to pay the difference for additional coverage.

This essentially is the system we already have.. with basic health care given to everyone that pays taxes. We still have the freedom to choose an insurance company near us, our own coverage levels. It frees up local businesses from the burden of having to pay for health insurance packages for their employees which would mean they have more money to invest.

It seems logical that this would be the only way to even attempt to make a Nationalized Healthcare system work.. through the free market.

It’s true. My resentments are mostly against the hardcore Kristol neocon group. Jewish people are great if they drop their most popular stance on Israel IMO.
