Video: Thuggish mob of elderly Nazis attacks AARP with questions about health care

posted at 3:10 pm on August 6, 2009 by Allahpundit

No swastikas in view but that’s probably due to crafty editing. If you believe the new Quinnipiac poll, The One’s approval rating on health care among people 55 and older now stands at a robust 38/52, which is actually a few points higher than his numbers among those aged 35-54. (Among those 35 and under, he’s at 44/48.) Likely explanation: The GOP ‘turfed the sample.

The head of New Hampshire’s Democratic Party is promising “significant push back on these thugs” who disrupt The One’s health-care message, so once we find out who these subversives are (and who sent them), presumably reprisals are on the way. If you recognize any of them, you know what to do.

I thought we would see a quick ‘Depends’ change right then and there.

Just noticed on Drudge that the White House has said the “War on Terror” is over. In keeping with national defense policy that seeks to avoid a two front war, it only stands to reason that, as President Obama begins his “War on the American People” that the War on Terror would have to end.

It’s a subtle change in terminology. Rahm is now using the term “War of Terror” to describe Administration’s domestic policy, and they’re hoping nobody notices the difference.

That lady was so rude to the attendees. If the only thing shown on the video was her talking, people would have thought she was talking to a bunch of pre-schoolers, not adults. Could she have been more condenscending!?

As a senior citizen, I am most offended by the condescension of the AARP spokeswoman. She did not appear to have half the brains or one fourth of the patience of the seniors that I know. The best laugh I’ve had all day was when she yanked the mike. Immaturity at its best. Don’t mess with seniors. Seniors, cancel your AARP memberships.

jintrabar on August 6, 2009 at 4:37 PM

I don’t have speakers here, so I’ll listen to what they said at home, but why is some young blonde lecturing to seniors about what they need? Doesn’t she need to get older to realize what the elderly really want?

Like others on this site, I’m over 50 (53 to be exact) and have received lots of mail from AARP, which now pollutes the nearest landfill. I will NOT pay dues to Democrats!!!

But Shhhhhhh–don’t want AARP to know how many stamps they wasted–keep those cards and letters coming in, straight to my circular file. The more stamps they waste on me, the less money they can donate to Democrats.

Steve Z on August 6, 2009 at 4:40 PM

That’s what I noticed immediately. I wish that the people who attended these things were clever enough to ask the follow-up questions when they bring up how much profits they make.

Watching Battle 360 or Dogfights gets you wonderful stuff like this from vets, and I paraphrase:

I remember seeing the pilot’s head through the canopy, and I just put my pipper on him and waited till he drifted up above the stabilizers… then one burst and his plane slipped down heading towards the sea…

These are not men you want to try and intimidate.

They are called The Greatest Generation.

They deserve our honor, our thanks, our love, and our gratitude.

Not a kick in the teeth.

That is not only dishonorable.

But they know how to fight back.

They aren’t going to start a fight, but they have demonstrated that they sure know how to end them. We have all seen the stories of 80 year old Marines beating the tar out of young gangsta types who thought they had easy prey. My bet is that generation will not go down without a fight… because it is being brought to them. And they have demonstrated they don’t die that easily.
