New DNC ad: Mobs of right-wing lunatics want to feast on your flesh

posted at 12:15 pm on August 5, 2009 by Allahpundit

A video version of yesterday’s communique from DNC headquarters about mobs of right-wing extremists whose extreme mobbiness threatens to mob ObamaCare with extremism. All that’s missing are the captions you used to see in trailers for 50s horror movies. “THRILL to angry conservatives walking around with signs. TREMBLE as a woman holding an American flag yells at a congressman. SCREAM as Democrats absorb one one-millionth the degree of demonization George Bush suffered over eight years.”

No need for outrage, though. Instead, celebrate the fact that even with a Democratic president, a filibuster-proof Congress, and the lure of “free” ice cream in the form of socialized medicine, the left’s somehow managed to turn ObamaCare into a clusterfark of such epic proportions that their health-care message has now actually been reduced to “Don’t listen to the Republicans — they’re crazy.” Apart from Josh Marshall characteristically wetting himself by describing the townhall backlash as “civic vigilanteism” (sic), my favorite reaction comes from Tapper, framing the astounding demagoguery you’re about to see with the understatement only a studiously dispassionate newsman can muster:

While offensive and even racist posters and protestors have shown up at too many of these town halls, it’s not clear that they represent the mainstream of those who have organized to exercise their First Amendment right to speak any more so than the liberal protestors who compared President Bush to a Nazi represented mainstream liberal thought, or even the mainstream of anti-war protestors at any given event.

Indeed it’s not clear, especially with 52 percent of respondents telling Quinnipiac that The One’s handled health care badly. But enough blather. After you watch the DNC’s 50s horror movie, be sure to watch the B-picture the boss posted last night about what extremist mobs really look like. Exit question: Which right-wing nut warned yesterday that left-wing extremists might want to dial it down a bit themselves? Answer here.

Simple question:

What was the unemployment rate and deficit when the Democrats took over congress? What is it now? And remember, a President can not make a law.

Republican leadership is irresponsibly cheering on the thuggish crowds. Republican House Minority Leader John Boehner issued a statement applauding and promoting a video of the disruptions and looking forward to “a long, hot August for Democrats in Congress.”

It’s time to expose this charade, before it gets more dangerous.

Goebbels used modern propaganda techniques to psychologically prepare the German people for aggressive war and the annihilation of civilian populations. Among other propaganda devices, he accused many of Germany’s ethnic and national minorities (such as the Poles, the Jews, the French) of trying to destroy Germany, claiming that Germany’s belligerent actions were taken in self-defense.

Do undecided folks have to consider their yelling, interrupting voices when weighing the merits of the case? Of course not.

orange on August 5, 2009 at 1:29 PM

We’ve learned from long experience what the alternative to yelling is: stand up and make a polite statement or ask a polite question and be brushed aside by a patronizing politician who then takes admiring, breathless statements from 4 Kool-aid drinkers for every one of us.

And anyway, when the POTUS tells his supporters to argue with opponents and “…get in their face..”, that’s perfectly OK, right?

If anything, we aren’t going far enough. These people need to learn to live in fear. Every day. Everywhere.

Well, they figured after Murtha called his constituents racists and morons, and still got re-elected, that they have nothing to worry about. It worked in 2008.

It doesn’t matter, the Washington junta is going to shove their legislation through, anyway. The only way to stop them is to start throwing them out of office, starting with the ineligible moron at the top. Short of that, they will use the rest of their time in power to tear this nations to shreds and they will foment serious violence among the populace, too.

We’ve got some very bloody days ahead, and a victory for justice and reason is not assured, at all.

There are no merits to trying to get COngress to pass legislation, sight unseen – which is what they tried to do but were just barely stopped because a few details leaked out before their attempts to vote, and it stank to high heaven.

Further, your beloved junta in Washington is selling their insurance fiasco as the federal government needing to “provide competition” to the private sector. That is not a power that was ever given to Congress. It is un-Constitutional and represents the worst power-grabbing that any American Congress has ever attempted.

You despicable, lying scumbags have been exposed for what you are and much of America doesn’t like what they see. They know that you America-haters wan’t to turn this nation into a socialist hell-hole (and that’s only the well-intentioned useful idiots among you) and that is an attempt to destroy all vestiges of the United States as this nation has existed since our founding.

But, go ahead and threaten more Americans. Go and try to get more people to snitch on their neighbors. This will not be forgotten.

Why do you think unemployment is so high?? We are staving off 8 years of complete ineptness.

You think this crisis is a result of the past 8 years? Wow. You’re even more hackish than Bill Clinton, who admitted that Dems will have to answer as to why they blocked regulation of Fannie and Freddie during his presidency.

Unemployment had been skyrocketing for months before Obama took office.

And it sped up afterwards. He predicted unemployment in the 8% range without a stimulus package. It’s now about 9.7% with it.

It didn’t start on Jan. 20. The economy is stabliizing now, but jobs are the slowest to be recovered.

Stabilizing? Check the front page on HA. The service sector, responsible for 80% of GDP, retracted more in July than in June.

The pre-emptive failed wars Bush started will be over by 2012.

Wait. Pre-emptive, failed wars? I’ll concede Iraq was pre-emptive, but how is Afghanistan a pre-emptive strike?

The markets are up.

Associated Press: Weak Data Stops Market Rally

GDP is looking better.

Until cap-and-trade passes and it falls again. Or, you know, the millions of more Americans who will get laid-off this year no longer have money to buy products again. Then suddenly we’re heading back down.

In six months, Obama has started cleaning up the mess created by a retarded cowboy with daddy issues. I’m just glad Bush didn’t do even more damage than he did. It sadly could have been even worse.

Obama’s been in office six months and we already have a trillion-dollar deficit and climbing; his approval rating has hit a record low for him; he’s 10th out of the past 12 presidents for approval at this point in his term; Congress is about as popular as cancer; strategists have downgraded 2010 from Dem gain to static; his flagship legislation is opposed by the majority of Americans; his visits to Democrats in Blue States have actually hurt their chances; and the White House is squirming on foreign policy matters.

Oh, don’t worry, we’re taking the long view here. Obama’s legacy is being defined by what he’s doing right now, but not in the way you think. When the bills come due for Obamacare (2013 for implementation and the first wave of millions dropped from employer coverage they liked; the shattering of the cost containment illusion in the second decade of the program) and cap-and-trade (2026*, when the allowances and job-support components are phased out), there will be a reassessment of our 44th President, and it won’t be pretty. And there will be no excuses for people like you, because the costs of these programs were made public by government organs of branches controlled by your own f***ing party.

* Note that the EIA report is due out today, and keep in mind the 20% expected direct energy cost increase (and half-trillion-dollar GDP cut) by 2030, with most of the caps actually only biting after 2026.

2005—Unemployment down to 4.5%. Two nations liberated from tyranny and Al Qaeda turned into cave dwellers.

2006-2009—Democrats take over House, Senate, and WH. Unemployment at 10% and rising. Deficit triple of Bush’s EIGHT YEARS. MOBS in the streets telling the government to get out their lives and business. Despots, dictators, and terrorist are laughing at our leadership, AND dcwvu’s still waiting for his “clunker check”…..um, nevermind.

“THRILL to angry conservatives walking around with signs. TREMBLE as a woman holding an American flag yells at a congressman. SCREAM as Democrats absorb one one-millionth the degree of demonization George Bush suffered over eight years.”

Sums up the only thing liberals are good at.
Creating bogus scandals and pushing pathetic, baseless conspiracy theories.

Obama has filibuster proof majorities in the House and Senate but has such inept policies that he can’t even get his own party on board.

So let’s demonize all those EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEvil Americans that demand the “smart ones” actually read a bill before they pass it and actually want the contents of the bill to benefit there lives and provide the services and benefits that this administration promised.
How EEEEEEEEEEEvil and sinister of Americans to want results and not be lied to like Obama has done throughout his campaign and Presidency.

Maybe these Americans that are allowed to gather and voice their opinions according to the Constitution are going about it the wrong way.
Maybe it they acted like liberals by……

Beating up elderly people

Vandalizing Military recruitment centers and assaulting our men and women in uniform

Spit on our Soldiers and Veterans, calling them “war criminals”,”child predators”,and “murders”.

Held up signs stating they support the insurgents (terrorist),support Al Sadr, support killing the President and Vice President

Burn the American Flag

Call for the overthrow of our government to a marxist regime

sexually assault young men and women

….then the White House would go to bat for them with the “dissent is patriotic” and “speaking truth to power” support they gave their liberal supporters that committed these acts.

Watching the liberal idiots whine about the tea party movement after 8 years of assault, lies, cries for murder and assassination shows just how pathetic they are.

They don’t have reality or facts on their side so all they can offer is huffington post talking points and John Stewart impressions.

What a joke.

Fighton03 on August 5, 2009 at 2:45 PM

Out of curiosity…why does it matter what political persuasion you are if you are dissenting? The first amendment says we may redress the government for grievances; not that we may redress the government only if you are the correct political party.

Now let’s say everything the commercial said is true, it still does not change the fact that what they are doing is 100% legal. If you are mad or feign being mad it is inconsequential since that freedom is also protected under the first amendment. Nowhere in our Constitution does it say we must be nice to each other. There are plenty of rules on how the government must act and a couple of laws but not one law anywhere saying you must be “excellent to each other.”

This brings me to my final point. Bush was treated so heinously that it defied all common sense. From being compared to a monkey, to someone who was mentally handicapped, to drunk frat boy “with daddy issues”. This type of treatment went on for 8 years with a brief interlude after 9/11. Does anyone here remember that show “That’s my Bush.” on Comedy Central? During this entire time he never went on the air publicly demonizing the dissent. This administration however seems to personally attack anyone who disagrees with them. For 8 years I remember dissent being the highest form of patriotism yet now you are a traitor to your country for even talking about disagreeing? Something is rotten in America.

This is why probably we need a revolution at this point.

The Brits did a lot to quell dissent & discourse among the American colonists, too. That worked out really well for them, didn’t it?

Why waste reason & discourse on people who clearly don’t give a shit?

Vote ‘em out. && if that doesn’t work…

dcwvu on August 5, 2009 at 1:39 PM

First of all, the Bosnian war carried out by the Clinton administration without UN approval was “pre-emptive” unless
you are aware of attacks on America by them that nobody else seems to know about.

Funny none of you sanctimonious liberals were out in the streets yelling about illegal/pre-emptive wars then.

Apparently your dumba$$ was on Mars on Sept. 11, 2001 to call Afghanistan pre-emptive.

We should not expect to much though from the same idiot liberals who listened to democrats yell and scream for a decade (many years before Bush became President) about Saddams WMD/ties to al-qaeda but then called Bush a liar for saying the same thing.

How did that impeachment work out for you genius?????

As far as Iraq being a failure, your Messiah Obama and his sidekick (who voted for the Iraq war) Hillary did not get your memo:

Obama to troops: “You got the job done” in Iraq

http://hotair.com/archives/2009/02/27/obama-to-troops-you-got-the-job-done-in-iraq/

Thanks in great measure to your service, the situation in Iraq has improved. Violence has been reduced substantially from the horrific sectarian killing of 2006 and 2007. Al Qaeda in Iraq has been dealt a serious blow by our troops and Iraq’s Security Forces, and through our partnership with Sunni Arabs. The capacity of Iraq’s Security Forces has improved, and Iraq’s leaders have taken steps toward political accommodation. The relative peace and strong participation in January’s provincial elections sent a powerful message to the world about how far Iraqis have come in pursuing their aspirations through a peaceful political process…

Today, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton told Iraqi leaders that the country was on the right track.

“I think in Iraq there will always be political conflicts, there will always be, as in any society, sides drawn between different factions, but I really believe Iraq as a whole is on the right track,” she said, citing “overwhelming evidence” of “really impressive” progress.

“Are there going to be bad days? Yes, there are,” Clinton said. “But I don’t know of any difficult international situation anywhere in the world or history where there haven’t been bad days.”

Dam#!!!
You liberals are so ignorant of what is going on in the real world you can’t even stay on message with who you are on bended knee to.

If the liberals posting here is the best Axelrod can do,
the democrats are in a lot deeper trouble than having a naive, failed community organizer as President.
