Cavuto to Obama: Stop demagoging your critics, jackass

posted at 6:56 pm on August 5, 2009 by Allahpundit

“Jackass” being my choice of words, not his. Think of this as an Olbermann Special Comment if Keith were one-tenth as long-winded and 5-10,000 times more likeable. And yet it’s pointless: The One can’t stop demagoging his critics for the simple reason that his image won’t allow it. As the risen Christ of American politics, his agenda is ipso facto good and just; treating his critics’ concerns as valid instead of the ravings of a lunatic mob would be like Jesus telling Satan, “Well, you’ve got a point there.” The whole Hopenchange mythos is at its core demagoguery. What do you want him to say, Neil?

If you don’t read this post by Brian Faughnan after watching the clip then your understanding of this subject is incomplete.

I gotta say that Obama’s look and behavior at Elkhart today makes it clear that he feels every one of those poll numbers that drop away. He was angry at the world and pissed off that people were daring to have contrary opinions to his own. When (it isn’t if) the filty lying rat bastard traitor gets into the 30s there will be all hell to pay.

That should tell you everything, we’re done sitting on our hands. We’re done! No longer does the left have the monopoly on bitching, by the way, we out number you, because the moderates on your side are done too!

Call me a racist, that’s OK! It’s not his Black side I despise, he was raised as a Marxist, it’s an eastern European white thing, and it’s dangerous to us all. He wants two classes, his, and the rest of us. The FACT that they are exempt from OBAMA-CARE should tell you everything, yet you are deaf.

The people af America are better off free than controlled, our Government is looking at control. If you personally thought Bush was bad, this guy is Uber-Bush. He wants to be “Big Brother”, he is well on his way, this is all he knows, read his books, THIS IS WHO HE IS! If you like it, fine, but be not upset that the majority of America does not.

Yes, he won, but he did not run as who he is, the people are waking up, they are voicing their opinions, and being torn down for doing so, the people were screwed, hoodwinked, bamboozled.

Here we are looking for some hope, and “The One” is not the silver lining America voted for. I hope 2010 will help to turn this back, my gut says it will. If, and when, America learns how he does business, they will revile him.

I wonder if Saul D. Alinsky (1909-1972), or Obama for that matter, ever considered the truly free distribution of information that the Internet provides today…………

Kinda sucks, doesn’t it Barry………..?

Yeah, I was one of the “angry mob” that showed up to Timothy Bishop’s Town Hall meeting in June.
People were spanking mad that he would vote for cap and trade and health care. We are at the breaking point here on Long Island with taxes and energy costs. Funny how our Congressman doesn’t seem to know that…
But, making a sign in my kitchen and taking the evening after work to let our congressman know how we feel makes us an angry mob… BTW, I think I dressed neatly as did most of the other people that turned out.

highhopes – I’m not going to call him a filthy rat bastard traitor, not that I think much of his background or his positions, but it’ll be interesting to see whether that famed ‘temperament’ cracks a bit when exposed to real pressure, and whether some of his minions and outside flacks really cross the line in trying to prop him up.

I’d like to think this one was more just for the purposes of collecting outside opinions, not necessarily for targeting those who hold the opinions, but in Axelrodland you have to assume the worst.

crr6 on August 5, 2009 at 8:28 PM

Yes, because we should all know by now that dissent from anywhere but the Hippie pads on/near college campuses and in working class parents’ basements where their wiseass twenty-something spawn reside is the only legitimate source.

In our country there is not suppose to be any group from either side of the political spectrum taking over. It certainly didn’t happen under Nixon, Reagan or either Bush. We are supposed to work within the framework of our Constitution. The two parties are supposed to maintain balance…they both have something to offer.

But the radicalization of the Democratic Party has brought us to where we are today. The Leftists spew their nonsense about how “fascist” and all that crap the Republicans are. I’m a strong conservative, and I can tell you that most Republicans are very moderate despite the Hitler obsessions and fantasies of progressives (a love-hate thing I guess…they sure talk about the guy a hell of a lot).

Now, if the Leftists want to keep pushing they are going to find a lot of onetime Democrats, moderate Republicans and Independents pissed off and coming after them. And that is not something I am looking forward to dealing with as it would be chaotic. The rattlesnake on the DON’T TREAD ON ME flag isn’t The People anymore…it’s the government.

All of this could be defused quite easily by the Dems. The million dollar question is, “Why aren’t they then?”

Luka on August 5, 2009 at 11:48 PM

I posted this on another thread but I think it goes here, too.

I have been predicting for months that Obama will try to make himself functionally a dictator before the end of his first term. I know it sounds outlandish and will probably never happen — but only because of conservatives who shout out loudly enough to warn off the population of the immanent attempt.

If he can’t get it done by then, he will try to repeal the 8-year term limit for Presidents. He will state at first that the repeal won’t apply to him, but the legislation will allow him a third term — why not? What’s right is right: if it’s right for the next President to have 3 or more terms, it must be right for Obama as well.

The whole Honduras thing, the backing of Zelaya, was just so he could see it done up close (and, while he’s at it, help justify subverting the constitution as supporting democracy) or to see how and why it failed.

And look how chummy he is with Hugo, Amadinejad and Kim Jong. He LIKES socialist dictators. Look at his list of czars. Look at how the Congress roles over when he commands ’spend and regulate!’ I know: it’s impossible; it will never happen. But

While looking this up I see that George Bush recommended abolishing the President’s term limit as a protection against terrorism, likening term limits to forcing the substitution of a quarterback with a second-stringer every 8 years. See this: http://2004.georgewbush.org/news/termlimits.asp

If the Republican President thinks it’s a good idea, how hard will it be for the Democratic Congress to vote it in for The One?

I think I’ll finally get a bumper sticker on my car: OBAMA IN 2016.

O/T Did anyone hear that there was a special election in Delaware to replace an ancient liberal who died? If I heard it correctly, the Republican won over the dead guy’s hand-picked successor (his daughter) by 60% to 40% in a blue state and a blue district.

TruthToBeTold on August 5, 2009 at 7:24 PM

Delaware is a blue state, but actually the bluest part of the state is New Castle County, the northernmost and most populous county, which includes the cities of Wilmington and Newark (a college town). The two southern counties, Kent and Sussex (don’t you love the British influence shown in our county names?) are rural and largely conservative. The district where this election was held was not a blue district.

So that, coupled with the Democrats losing steam nationally, probably explains the election of a Republican in that district, and the defeat of the deceased’s daughter.

BTW, the online version of our local paper is so lame, I had to do a search for “special election” to find this story. It was found in the “opinion” section, not in the regular news. They are the definition of left-biased, 8th-grade level journalism. Read the linked article to see the bias for yourself.

Dude, step away from the computer. The link you send is a spoof website and is NOT an article by George W Bush about eliminating Presidential term limits. Even a liberal should be able to recognize a spoof when he sees it.

As for the rest of your comments about how the One is planning to take over the world, I’d agree with you based on how he acts, but there isn’t sufficient evidence yet to prove he is anything but an incompetent assh*le who can’t force his way into the girls’ locker room.
