Video: Orly Taitz, MSNBC anchors scream at each other over Birtherism; Update: Source of bogus Kenyan birth certificate found?

A video testament to the buffoonery of both sides. Taitz was on to promote a Kenyan birth certificate for Obama that was debunked within about 10 minutes after it hit the web. MSNBC’s goal was to humiliate her by exposing the flaws in the document, except that they, er, forgot to ask her about it. Good stuff. Anyway, there’s no mystery to the strategy here: The left wants to tar the entire party as Birthers — witness Harry Reid inveighing against them on the Senate floor today — so they’re giving Taitz enough media rope to hang herself, along with blaring taglines about her being the leader of the “movement.” It’s a redux of the Rush strategy. Frankly, I’m surprised they mentioned that Coulter thinks Birthers are cranks since it spoils the message they’re going for about most conservatives these days being kooks. Which clearly isn’t true — or is it?
Make sure you watch until Shuster asks whether it’s true that she refused to ride in a car sent by MSNBC that was driven by a man with a Muslim name. I wonder what he could be implying. Perhaps the very end of this Media Matters attack on Lou Dobbs will shed some light.
Update: Belated exit question: Does anyone not think the Kenyan birth certificate was cooked up and leaked by Obama supporters, precisely because they knew Birthers would seize on it and make fools of themselves?

I didn’t leave anything out, as I gave you the link to the article. But this goes to my point, concern that illegals are not going to register for their amnesty is not being against the amnesty. Why is that so difficult for you to understand? He was all for the amnesty. He was only concerned that the border wouldn’t be closed and that a bunch of illegals wouldn’t take the amnesty given to them. That does not translate to him being against the amnesty. That is because he had no objections to offering them all amnesty, if it could be assured that they would have to register and the border would be shut.

Doesn’t this whole thing boil down to whether or not a Certification of Live Birth is as accurate as a Birth Certificate? Birthers say it isn’t, non-birthers say it is. The certification says right on it that it is used in legal proceedings, so I don’t see how it is so useless. Furthermore, they say that Hawaii can’t release the long form because it is illegal for some reason.

If the Kenyan Certificate is fake it will be easily proved. The Certificate at the bottom of the Kenyan document indicates the information is taken from the Birth Register. It gives the location therein. The Birth Register is contained in books.
Anyone interested in the truth will wait until we find out what’s in the Birth Register before coming to any conclusions.
No doubt the MSM are recalling employees from Wasilla and sending them to Kenya to examine the Birth Register

Taitz looked just fine. She managed to finally answer as much of their questions as she was allowed and she explained very clearly that the main point is that dual citizens are not natural born citizens. The fact is that the Constitutional clause of “natural born citizen” is currently ill-defined, due to the later introduction of the acceptance of dual citizenship for Americans. The SCOTUS holds the operational definition until someone puts in an amendment that redefines the term. There’s nothing crazy about this case. It is a legitimate and extremely important distinction that has to be made sometime soon, looking at the makeup of the American citizenry, these days. And laws that instruct various officials to verify Presidential eligibility, as per the Constitution, need to be enforced, which they weren’t.
There’s nothing crazy about this. Quite the opposite. To oppose this seems quite insane. And the idea that the Founders intended to have someone with 38 other citizenships serve as President is really kind of … nutty. I mean we all know how the Founders were about sovereignty and allegiance. Don’t we?

The press hounded Hillary Clinton until she produced her records from her eight years as First Lady. They repeated all kinds of innuendos regarding John McCain’s health until he released a volume of medical records. Barack Obama has managed to totally conceal his past from the American people, and no noise whatsoever from the press. They refuse to hold Obama accountable to the same standards as they have held so many others, and I believe that, in this case, that double standard has another name, affirmative action. Accepting lower standards in order to give a minority a shot at a job or a place in college is one thing, lowering standards in order to elect or protect a minority POTUS is, or should be, a criminal offense.

It was immediately viewed with high suspicion.
One of the ‘debunkers’ who declared it a forgery at FR has also declared the COLB released by Obama a forgery.
It is not only a forgery – but a forgery that was not intended to hold up to scrutiny for long. An effort was made to draw suspicion from even a non-expert.
…and it was still a hell of a lot better effort than the Bush TANG memo.

We want all of the records necessary to establish his history of national status, which goes from the birth certificate, passports, passport records, education records, name changes, … Everything necessary to establish his history of national status a an American. This would all be necessary to verify his eligibility and would be requested at discovery, if any of these cases gets the go-ahead. We don’t care if they release it publicly, os long as the Court sees it, gives an operational definition for the class of “natural born citizens”, and rules on whether The Precedent fits that definition. It’s just the process that should have been done, long ago, by many different people but no one did.
If you could, at least, get allah interested in the college records, or board scores, or something, that would be good.

You have to wonder why the forger did some of the things he did, though.
The ’44′ ’0′ ’47′ isn’t going to be put there by someone who wants this to hold up under scrutiny. I don’t think an ‘anti-0bama’ forger would do that in any case. Why reference 3 Obama trivia answers consecutively if you do not support the man?
The ‘E.F. Lavender’ thing is just stupid – and was caught early on by the FReepers.
Those things don’t go real far in determining proof of the document so much as they do intent of the forger.
You can’t disprove a document by pointing at some numbers and saying ‘look it equals this’. There might actually be a document somehwere that is actually #OU812 – and Allah’s drivers license # might actually be IMD12C4ABJ.

What strikes me more than anything is the fact that all of a sudden, journalist are journalists again! They dig deep into facts to get the accurate story to try to debunk the other side. Yet when the digging really counts, it goes against their beliefs and either make stuff up or just don’t dig deep enough in fear of what they might find.
It’s amazing that a good portion of journalist only seem to want to do their job when it’s their party on the line. So questions like where do you get your news from, what magazines do you read, etc etc, wouldn’t be asked. All they try to do is paint their opposition in a lunatic light.
The day journalism died can be determined because it’s been in the making for many, many years….

One could hope, but I do not think that she has submitted this as actual evidence, this is just a public opinion prop.
Also, the must KNOW that the evidence is false in order to have liability. I would hesitate to apply the resonable person standard to this nutbag, but she is clearly too stupid to hold her to the normal standard.

As far as her legal resume (which is all that matters to me) she attended a B.S. distance learning law school, and she can not practice anywhere but California and can never be a member of the Federal Bar. That is all I need to know.
