Can we start calling them Yellow Dogs yet? They always eventually bail on their “principles”.

The most important negotiations they have with the Progressives is over who gets money to vote “Aye” vs. who gets the political cover of voting “No”.

A vote for federal funding of abortion would demonstrate they were not who they claimed to be and they would be hard pressed to defend their seats if challenged on a pro-abortion vote.

Not at all OT.

Having financed a number of campaigns, there’s something called the Rule of 50.

Goes like this: Doesn’t matter how many people show up in favor of the candidate. What he will see is at least 50 people voting against him for every single person who bothers to show up opposed to him. Thus, for every 100 protesters, he sees 5,000 votes against him.

May not be scientific, but that’s how they think.

This is something community organizers know so well, and we better learn from them.
