I swear I didn’t know about it when I wrote this post; evidently the booking only happened this week, after the initial round of Fox appearances. It’s hard to explain to newbie Hot Air readers why this is such a big deal, but to help put it in perspective, there was a time a few years ago when we were doing “View” posts about as frequently as we’re doing Palin posts now. Search the archives or ask an HA old-timer and they’ll tell you. ‘Twas a golden age when Rosie ruled the roost and American moms tuned in each morning for the latest on how burning jet fuel simply couldn’t have melted the steel in the World Trade Center. If there’s a god in heaven — and I’ll accept the following as conclusive proof that there is — they’ll bring big Ro back for one day of guest-hosting duties.
To whet your appetite for what’s to come, be sure to read this classic from the boss’s vault. Exit fun fact: I gave her a “View” coffee mug for Christmas once. Really!

99% of us should avoid the View like the plague. Everything on that show is stacked against us, everything. And it’s pure foolishness for 99% of us to offer them the opportunity to use us for punching bags.
But MM’s in that other 1%. If anyone can beat that setup, it’s MM.

I will never watch The View, but I will watch the link on HotAir as long as The View doesn’t get even a millionth of a ratings point from it. (Obviously, I don’t know how television ratings work)

I bought Michelles’ book a few days ago. I’ve just started to read. From the title alone, I’m sure she’ll be seen as ripe for the plucking, by the hens, on that show. However, I’ll choose to keep reading, rather than watch the show. I just can’t stand those ladies anymore. Especially Joy. She’s insipid, and ignorant, and will let any foul thought fall from her brain, to her tongue, and try to pass it off as truth.

As Michelle posted back in March, Whoopi said on The View saying that she doesn’t want to be taxed “comin’ and going.” Whoopi seems much more reasonable than Rosie, but I’ll DVR Monday’s show to see how it goes down.
