Wow…the problem is that it has nothing to do with products and services, it’s all about product cost associated with its inherent value on the market. Look, companies need to make a profit to remain an ongoing concern and develop new products (aka have a reason to exist) otherwise scarce resources allocated to produce those products will be allocated elsewhere.

High corporate taxes strangle profit, and therefore growth of a company (and there fore JOBS!). As Sporty1946 said high taxes will be passed on to the consumer to retain margin to do all these things companies do…until they have exceeded the inherent value of the widget and can no longer compete…and that is why they seek tax shelter. It has nothing to do with “fair” taxes. What a concept, BTW.

Ever get the feeling that some people think CEOs are the rich white guys from Trading Places, and spend all day buying and selling polar bear pelts and lighting cigars with $100 bills?

Obambi is BOTH stupid and malicious! He hates this country, and says so every chance he gets, therefore he has to fundamentally try to remake it in his warped image of what it should be. All of the Democrats (and probably a good portion of the RINOs) are making a gigantic power grab because they know that they will exempt themselves from their own policies.

How utterly naive, and most certainly an example of the un-education offered by public schools. Listen closely – corporations don’t pay taxes, they pass any taxes reported on to the consumer in the form of higher prices for everyone.

Barak Obama’s economic policies are so bad, that he is either an economic dunce (an amiable one) or he is acting with intent to ruin a system he thinks unfair.

Increasingly I lean toward the latter, because it’s difficult to conceive of even liberals being this stupid. Set aside the harm to the American people, their own poll numbers are tanking and Republican hopes are rising.

Have the Republicans changed? Some renewed commitment to fiscal conservatism? It’s easy to oppose stupidity.

He doesn’t have to be stupid or malicious — even highly intelligent people can be mislead as to what the facts are, and can cling to completely backward theories. Obama doesn’t understand the fundamental morality of property rights and free trade, and assumes economic models that don’t conflict with his desire to ‘fix’ every problem with government.

Very smart is by no means equivalent to right.
You learn this when life smacks you in the face with it enough times. P.BO has lucked out, only having been smacked once or twice by reality in his adult life, so chances are that being President is the first chance he has had to learn.

In Obama’s mind, successful people MUST share their success with the not-so-fortunate by government fiat—-a sure recipe for a lazy and unproductive society.

More likely, in Obama’s mind, success means that you must have cheated someone else, so its only right that you compensate the people you cheated (through the government, which can’t cheat).

It will not be long untill we yearn for the Carter years.

This is not about revenue, it is about fragging the country and particularly any wealthy person or group, becuase they might be obstructive to the Bama Plan for us all.

A strong private sector might give some people the idea they aren’t here to serve the political class. Imagine the cheek of such nonsense. They might refuse to pay taxes, vote out Friends of Bama, even Bama hisself.

David Henninger’s column in the WSJ of today about who serves whom hits the nail on the head. Bama sees citizens as tools to meet his goals. We are here for him, not the inverse. That is the socialist system.

We are at a crossroads where major and perhaps irrevocable decisions are going to be made as to who serves whom, Henninger thinks, and I agree.

If foreign companies can use “tax evasion” it’s hard to become competitive. If you don’t give your crony’s tax exemptions , but that defeats its purpose or maybe not…
