M14, the movie is Little Nicky and it sucked.

Why can’t we just outlaw calling health insurance “compensation” for doing your job? Seriously, make every person who desires health insurance go out and shop for it like every other consumer good/service. Pelosi would still find them evil, because they would make a tidy profit selling bare bones plans to twenty-five-year-olds and plans that didn’t cover IVF or birth control to Catholics, but at least it would force some competition into the market.

If you had read my previous posts, you would know that I don’t want it for free! I just want it to be at a FAIR price – I don’t want govt run healthcare. I never said I want it for free. Just seems to me that the health system the way it is, is severely flawed. Many, many hardworking small business owners just can’t afford it, including me. I work hard and have never taken a dime of govt money in the 30 years I’ve been in this country – I’d be ashamed, to tell the truth.

Yale law prof Stephen Carter is about 40 years too late. The entire entertainment industry, with help from the education system, has declared war on profit-making enterprise long since, and has been hawking “evil corporations” as the root of all evil for decades. Three entire generations of Americans are convinced “corporate” means “greedy,” that “profit” means “screw everybody,” and that the only way to keep evil corporations from turning every park in America into a parking lot is to let the good guys from the government take over. They don’t think it, they know it.

It’s good that he wrote his alarmed op-ed, but it’s meaningless. He’s just spit into the wind, and when he wipes his face, the incident will be over.

What’s needed is a massive effort of excising Marxist thought from the entire system of education, from top to bottom, a takeover of the entertainment industry by adults, and at least 30 years of re-education along the lines Prof. Carter expressed. Short of that, Prof. Carter had better be prepared to renounce his support of evil profiteering or he may have to join the rest of us in the re-education camps.

It’s that bad.

The biggest problem the U.S. faces is Representatives and Senators with no term limits. The corruption becomes too easy. This old horse should have been put out to pasture a long time ago. Term limits and tort reform are the answers to America’s problems. Add to that violation of the 10th amendment.

We don’t need healthcare reform, we need POLITICIAN REFORM!!!!!!!!!!!
