Change: Obama’s approval rating hits new lows in Gallup and Rasmussen

If it had been either of the two, I would have tacked this on as an update to Ed’s Pew post. But both on the same day? He’s down to 52/41 in Gallup and dropping like a stone over the past 10 days thanks to Gatesgate and his health-care clusterfark, and in Rasmussen he’s already below the line at 48/51. And that 48 isn’t real hard, either:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 28% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12. That’s the lowest rating yet recorded for President Obama.
No wonder he’s ready to drink with Gates and Crowley. If my numbers looked like that while I was trying to push my signature program, I’d be getting hammered too. Fortunately, he’s got an ace up his sleeve he can use to get back in America’s good graces. When the people turn on you, it’s time to give them what they desire above all things: Porn.

As The Precedent’s poll numbers sink, look for him to try and foment more racial animus in the country. He really prefers to destroy our country with his economic programs, enviro-wackiness, and by taxing our wealth out of us, but if he can’t do that he’ll be prefectly happy to get lots of fighting in the streets. You’ll see.

You get the feeling that by mid-August, Obama’s going to be pining for a foreign policy crisis to look presidential about, just to take everyone’s mind off of health care (though the way things are going right now, the crisis he’ll probably end up with is a Chavez-financed attack on the Honduras government).

I suggest that as Obama has had the benefit of the most supportive news media ever, the entertainment industry completely in his hip pocket, and academia squarely behind him, these poles number are full of helium. Were he getting more balanced reporting, or the negative reporting that George Bush and Reagan had during their presidencies his numbers would likely be significantly lower than they already are.

NBC, ABC and CBS will miraculously come out with their own polls showing Obama’s approval in the high 60′s, with the majority of Americans approving of this health care bill and wanting Cap and Trade passed. Even if it is ignored by the MSM (which it will) the stimulus money spent on porn story will be a big deal. It is just one of those stories that quickly gets around the water coolers and bar stools and practically writes it’s own jokes making a further mockery of the stimulus. It is often these small, simple outrages that incur more wrath in the public than thinking about the $787 billion dollars wasted.
