Here’s that intriguing morning appearance I teased in Monday’s Hannity post. A bunch of you thought I was talking about “The View,” which broke my heart because how awesomely awesome would that have been? Ah well. Enjoy Lauer affecting shock at the idea that a guy who tried to prove his “authenticity” by spending 20 years in Reverend Wright’s Church of the Perpetual Grievance, who once famously accused Team McCain of having a problem with the fact that he doesn’t look like the other presidents on U.S. currency, and who was known to reference “Malcolm X” while addressing black audiences on the campaign trail might possibly be guilty of racial opportunism. Although, in The One’s defense, what kind of progressive would he be if he wasn’t?
Best part: The boss lighting into Michelle Obama for her history of cronyism, much to Matt’s horror. Be sure to watch to the very end or you’ll miss the look on his face as he wraps the segment. I’m guessing she wasn’t booked at his insistence.

Behold, the above is an example of a straw-man argument that’s worthy of Barack Obama.
No, 4 million + “conservatives” (I put conservative in quotations because there is no credible conservative argument for not working to stop an Obama presidency) sat at home last election day. More didn’t contribute or organize or do the things necessary to win an election. All with predictable results. The continual trashing of “team McCain by a “conservative”(see above for the explanation of the quotation marks) didn’t help.

I gotta tell you, however, I was not thinking about buying her book (no particular reason, just wanted more disposable income) but after this young lady teased the contents of a couple of chapters (particularly her taking apart that $6,000 purse toting con-conspiratorial bitch), I am on my way over to Amazon.com to pick this up. Like someone above said, she is a national treasure, up there in the pantheon of conservative women — Ingraham, Coulter, and Michelle, who drive these jerkwads to a frothing distraction.

WOW! Michelle’s Today interview offers perhaps the best example of anyone in the MSM getting their empty head handed to them on a silver platter that I’ve seen this year! Michelle stomped Lauer – no ifs, ands or buts. The look of utter dismay on Lauer’s stupid face at the close summed up his complete failure to offer just one intelligent point sufficient to refute any of Michelle’s points. Sheer PERFECTION!

Lauer was watching the clock. He asked the Michelle Obama question with about a minute left, because he wanted to use his follow-up question to chastise MM for going after Obama’s family, and end the interview on that note. But then MM held forth with “A lot of comments there at the end”, and Lauer never had an opportunity to land his counterpunch.

Poor Matt.
He looks like an overtimed hardboiled egg to begin with and now to have to put up with Michelle Malkin’s correct noun/verb sentence structure that leaves no holes for him cut her off and divert to left field, makes his look at the end PRICELESS.
Oh to have had just 2 seconds more, where he didn’t know he was mik’d as they transitioned to a commercial. I would have loved to have heard anything he had to say to her or about her that wasn’t fit to be in the Today Show.
Its no wonder I take hit the snooze button so I can avoid these idiotic shows in the morning. My dreams are better than this stuff.
BTW: Malkin always hits a bases loaded home run when she’s on TV. She is amazing!

Congratulations to Michelle. If you look at her full career, she’s had a mixed history in major media interviews. But this one, she nailed it. Took command, steamrolled Lauer’s disdain mocked up as a question, got from A-Z on her points, and wrapped on a complete thought. That’s very difficult in such a medium … times two given the venue’s hostility. It looks like Michelle has stepped up her game. Let’s hope she keeps it up, and gets a show of her own.

I hate to admit this. A year or two ago I went through a self-loathing period and I somehow became a commenter on her site (it’s almost never open for registration). I am not sure why. But I tried to, gosh, I don’t know, reason with the orcs that cheer her on there. The commenters on Malkin’s site are, I can say without hesitation, some of the most repulsive, appalling people I have ever come across in my life. Overt racists and homophobes, who regularly use the words “faggot” and “nigger” without consequence. People who, no joke, literally threatened my life at times. Like, for random example, when I had the gall to come out as the lone dissenter on such “valid” topics as “let’s stalk a brain stem injured 12 year old’s house to see if his family is truly worthy of state health insurance benefits”.

Wow. My daily reading in this site must surely be lacking, because I don’t “regularly” see this language or conduct here. When I do see violations it is usually long after they have been removed in a timely manner, but referenced by subsequent commenters voicing disapproval of the offending comment.
Maybe I’ve just been using the wrong internet number all this time.
