Video: Michelle discusses Obama’s “racial opportunism” on … the Today show

Here’s that intriguing morning appearance I teased in Monday’s Hannity post. A bunch of you thought I was talking about “The View,” which broke my heart because how awesomely awesome would that have been? Ah well. Enjoy Lauer affecting shock at the idea that a guy who tried to prove his “authenticity” by spending 20 years in Reverend Wright’s Church of the Perpetual Grievance, who once famously accused Team McCain of having a problem with the fact that he doesn’t look like the other presidents on U.S. currency, and who was known to reference “Malcolm X” while addressing black audiences on the campaign trail might possibly be guilty of racial opportunism. Although, in The One’s defense, what kind of progressive would he be if he wasn’t?
Best part: The boss lighting into Michelle Obama for her history of cronyism, much to Matt’s horror. Be sure to watch to the very end or you’ll miss the look on his face as he wraps the segment. I’m guessing she wasn’t booked at his insistence.

As usual, when you know your stuff you can never be beaten. Michelle knows her stuff and stays ahead of the curve and other types of pitches her liberal interviewers. She also is quick in putting the interview or opposition on the defense and any battle (war and war of words) cannot be won from a defensive position.

Her comments were so out of line with the official MSM party line on Obama that Lauer was literally left speechless. He didn’t even know where to begin to respond to her, and probably thought she was a total whack job. It just shows how bankrupt our MSM is and how right Hannity was when he declared journalism dead a year ago.

The most telling thing for me was that Lauer didn’t even thank her for coming by, or even acknowledge her at the end. There’s no pretense left in the MSM’s love of Obama at any cost, and it surely is a joy to see Michelle own this interview. Ol’ Matt sure didn’t like losing control…..

Lauer’s expression was “she’s just another nut wasting my time with crazy ideas just to bash my messiah”. That was one of the most telling, dismissive expressions I’ve seen in a long time…and was no accident.

She has always been that way, as far as I’m concerned. This is the first time I’ve seen those legs, though. This shows her figure is as beautiful as her face and her thought processes. I think that’s probably right.
I will say for this for Lauer — he’s not a hostile personality. Katie Couric would have thrown her shoe at MM during that interview and Charlie Gibson would done his condescending sigh and eye roll routine. Lauer was at least amiable, as he was in his interview with Palin on the gas pipeline.
