This whole video is based on a misunderstanding of Hebrew. When used as a prefix, the letter vav (”waw” in the video) means “and.” Thus, baraq o-bama translates as “lightning and a high place,” not “lightning from a high place.” The latter would use the prefix mem, a contraction of the word “min,” which means “from,” making the Hebrew for “lightning from a height” baraq mi-bama. Also, bamos (plural of bama) were high places used for idol worship; the word for heaven (also sky) is shamayim. So a Hebrew-speaker translating that Greek phrase would most likely say, “baraq mi-shamayim.”

I think we can use the Bible as a tool to argue this foolishness. Obama is easy enough to oppose without being stupid.

I’m going to have to call “BS coincidence” on this one. Given Jesus’ proclivity to speak in metaphor, I’m inclined to believe the original translation of “lightning from the heavens” over Jesus naming B. Hussein Obama personally.

Also, the passage in Luke uses the word “as” instead of “named” If you look at other passages where Jesus is directly quoted, he very rarely ever says any specific name. He refers to God as “The Father” and does not name even him. Why would he name the anti-christ so specifically?

Also, if you read other descriptions of the Anti-Christ, they all refer to the antichrist as rising from the sea looking like a hydra sea monster, or out of the dirt looking like manlambpig or something similar, with extreme supernatural powers.

There is also a description of the antichrist as a “political” figure, but again, with supernatural powers to make golden calves that walk and other crazy stuff.

There are far better reasons to oppose Obama and his policies than this. I’ll pass.

This night has brought out what I have always appreciated about this site. Most commentators are thoughtful, intelligent, but most of all, amusing and hilarious, with their zinger one-liners; the one quality that is vacant and absent from the left side. And all this time, after Obama WON!!!, I thought that these lefties would be soooo cheerful, so full of life and humor, so robust with their now realized dreams. Somehow, this hasn’t appeared.It’s more and more bile and hatred, almost like they’ll never, ever be pleased. What’s the end game here, ’cause I don’t get it.

Advice. One does not need a gun for the rapture. I do not have full faith in the ‘rapture’ as staked out by those who retain that belief, and am not convinced by the scriptures used to prove it, although I have full faith in the revelations and prophecies of anti Christ, tribulation and apocalypse because I see the battle forces shaping every day of my life
