Not only did he give her a sweet plug at the end but the lead-in to the interview was a tasty smattering of Team Barry’s most obnoxious quotes. I trimmed off all but the last few in the interests of brevity and because most are already familiar to longtime HA readers, but the one from Michelle Obama sums things up well enough. Here’s another from SEIU president Andy Stern that the boss thought would serve as a fitting ideological frame for the discussion you’re about to see: “[W]e prefer to use the power of persuasion, but if that doesn’t work we use the persuasion of power.”
FYI, as I write this, she’s number one with a bullet at Amazon.

I bought mine today at Books a Million. I was waiting on my lovley bride to get some magazines, and when people saw me holding the book, they asked where I got it. During the time I was standing they sold 8 copies.

Yoda, when one guy asked my about the book, I told him that I had bought Beck’s common sense, Levins Liberty & Tyranny, and Morris’s books the day before. He bought Beck’s and Levins also.

Picked up mine today at B&N at 12:30 pm. Without a prompt from me the cashier said, “I came on at 11:00 and I have sold 10 of these already!” I asked him if he was going to read it and he better go get one cause there is only two left on the table. He said, “I will!”. Cant wait to get under the covers and read on……..looks like I might be sleepy tomorrow! Becks book was good and he had his time, now it’s Michelle’s turn.

They had them behind the counter on a cart. I asked the lady if they had them in yet. And she pointed them out to me. She said she couldn’t sell it until tomorrow. I told her that I had driven in from out of town, (Not true but I didn’t want to wait) . She asked the manager and he said it was alright. Then I started telling everyone where they had them stacked. They had 15 or 20 to start with.

It made my day when an inter-racial couple came up asking where I got the book. The white husband said his wife was looking all over the place for it. She saw it in my hands and the biggest smile came across her face.

Most Americans are so busy working and paying their bills and taking care of their families that they don’t have time (or energy) to pay attention to this kind of stuff. But it’s starting to seep into their consciousness now, and the backlash is just beginning to build.

No doubt. My wife works for an oil company. My brother-in-law is an independent operator and I worked offshore in college and then was a contoller of an oil service company. So my perspective may be alittle skewed but this administration is making it difficult on exploration, MMS is becoming more and more adversarial in dealing with operators. Sorry to get OT but this burns me up!

Oil companies are some of the best environmentalists there are….one barrel of oil on the ground and our company had to clean up every drop of oil.
I am all for drilling and was thrilled when McCain wanted to start more offshore drilling, but that went out the door door with this administration.

As for O’Reilly, he has shared with his viewers/readers he was bullied as a kid. Now he’s the bully, note the finger wagging in the face. He’s very intimidating. He’s not funny, clever, nor really very smart. I’ve joked I have skid marks on my finger from the ‘mote control and have had to resort to either the weather channel or Nancy Grace to keep from watching him. What he knows about oil and worldwide markets would fit on the end of a pin.
To all the ‘patch guys’…In my past life I’ve worked for two major oil companies so I’m very protective of them. Any truth that Oxy and Chevron have a big deal going in Bakersfield? Bet the deadbroke citizens of CA still won’t let them bring it up even if they have to go without heat.

Actually, they are buying marginal wells that need remidial workover. Turn some defunct wells in to pretty good producers.
Pretty soon WE will be the only ones not being allowed to drill for OUR OWN oil.
I don’t know about the outer coasts.

My husband is involved in ethanol and it’s not quite same as the work my old company use to do. We did quite a bit of wildcat drilling and it is too bad the U.S. can’t get back to that again. They’ll let every country drill offshore from our coasts, but they don’t want our companies to make any money.
