Must see: Cambridge cop says she won’t vote for Obama again after Gatesgate

posted at 7:48 pm on July 27, 2009 by Allahpundit

An amazing clip via Verum Serum. God only knows how much heat she and Sgt. Lashley will take from the “authenticity” police for this; Crowley’s a spectacularly lucky guy to have friends like them. In fact, I’m thinking that beer date at the White House to discuss “tolerance” might not be such a bad idea if Crowley gets to bring Kelly King along. Skip Gates and The One might just learn something.

If you’re looking for postracial America, you’ve found it.

I guess Thomas’ accomplishments don’t mean anything because he comes from the right-side of the aisle. Gates is disgusting.

TXMomof3 on July 27, 2009 at 9:06 PM

Let’s put Gates into perspective. All whites need to be subserviant to blacks because of the wrongs of the past. Blacks who make it to the highest levels either do it through the race industry or they are traitors. Thomas is a traitor. The filthy liar in the White House is a hero. That should tell you all you need to do about this bastard’s opinions on anything.

For those who may not know, some argue that only a member of the racial group in power can be a racist. Seriously.

jazz_piano on July 27, 2009 at 9:09 PM

And, of course that is wrong. On one level racism is nothing more than an affinity with those you have something in common with by virtue of common origin. Organizations for Irish/Polish/Italian/whatever-Americans are racist by definition.

That’s not the kind of racism we are talking about here. Gates is a racist. He’s one of those who thinks that all blacks deserve reparations for slavery despite the fact that no living black was enslaved by American society. No black under a certain age was even subjected to discriminatory laws. Gates attacked Sgt. Crowly because he felt a black Harvard Professor should not have to follow the rules the rest of us are expected to follow. He’s so used to unquestioned idolism because of his accomplishments as a black man that it rattled him when somebody dared stand up to the bastard after his “you don’t know who you are messing with boy” rant and presentation of Harvard credentials.

Racism isn’t limited to one race and that isn’t going to change even if the beer and bigotry photo-op comes off.

That restores my faith in humanity.

a. It’s CNN, a news organization I’ve lost complete trust in, actually going out and interviewing people who were there and who know the officer, and getting true information in a way that does not push you into a fictional narrative. Normally I would snark the crap out of them, looking for an angle, but that was just uncut and out there … and honest.

b. If Joe the Plumber is anything to go by – and he’s on the other side – how much hell are these officers going to pay for stepping above the rhetoric and spin and giving their honest opinions and defending a co-worker. You know — YOU KNOW — they are going to be subjected to far worse that Joe the Plumber for this.

President Obama should be doubly shamed for putting good people in personal, career and financial jeopardy. I’m going to include Gates as well because had it not been for Obama mouthing off, Gates could have gone back to his quiet racist corner none the worse for the wear with fresh tales for cocktail parties and class material.

Obama simply does not care about anyone or anything but himself. What a squid.

FIFY. As a mom of boys, I can tell you, it starts in kindergarten. Teaching methods have been “feminized” over the past several decades — at the expense of boys. It’s no secret that boys are not doing well in our society. They are more likely to perform poorly in school, more likely to be held back in school, more likely to be suspended from school, more likely to be in special education classes at school, and more likely to drop out of school than girls.

Sadly true – and Christina Hoff Sommers nailed it with The War on Boys (2000).

I started Grade School in 1950, and however insane my lifetime has been, I’ve never stopped being grateful that I went to public school during a time when we were taught facts instead of indoctrination. The sanity of school was a lifesaving contrast to the lunacy of the house I grew up in, and was the only place where I wasn’t discriminated against for being male.

Your boys are lucky to have you for a mother.

Make sure you’re using your old-skool racial terms correctly the next time you make yourself look fool…

Oh never mind.

baldilocks on July 27, 2009 at 11:26 PM

Maybe Obama was right after all, this WILL be a teaching moment, except he is not the one doing the teaching, he is the one being taught.

exceller on July 27, 2009 at 8:03 PM

Teaching moment indeed.

You can also find post-racial America in the military, not that Gates or Obama would care to look there.

Harvard professor: Tale is muckraking

By Kay Lazar, Globe Correspondent | June 16, 2005
Martin Weitzman doesn’t understand what the fuss is all about. And he hopes round two in his now infamous manure caper won’t make international headlines. Again.
Weitzman, a Harvard professor who specializes in environmental economics, is charged with stealing a truckload of manure from a 98-year-old Rockport horse farmer. Weitzman, who has pleaded not guilty, is due back in court June 27.

Um. I hope he was stealing the gas guzzler to save Gaia or something, because otherwise he needed a straightjacket. He’d be wrong to steal for Gaia of course, but not certifiable, and probably not the only idiot environmentalist to do such a thing, sadly. But stealing horse sh*t? Most horse farmers I know would be more than happy to give that away.
