Obama applied for the highest position in our government, more than anyone else in this country he should provide absolute proof of his citizenship. Its in EVERYONEs best interest that he does so before becoming a candidate. That he didn’t do it is extremely foolish. I question the man’s intellect for allowing this to even be a controversay. It’s such a simple thing to discredit. Either have the state display its own copy or explain to the world what happened to it.

And if Hawaii destroyed the original copy (as they claim), that is terrible and they really face some kind of recourse. You cannot replace a signed, dated, official document with a few bytes in a computer.

Personally, I’d like to see his college records.
Why is he going to such pains to keep those from the public?

Good Lt, I am adding to the mix my own rank opinion that there is a human-interest component to all of this (at least to those of us who see Obama as the Messiah) that many folks are overlooking, which is that a vital piece of the Messiah’s narrative is missing, namely Where is His manger? And we’d like to see that void filled, preferably with accurate information.

With the *last* Messiah, the one that walked the Earth 2000 years ago, we have the disadvantage of being 2,000 years removed from Him and thus not being able to retrace His steps accurately; instead we have to make do every holiday season with crude replicas of the Nativity scene and ball-park guesses about exactly how many well-wishers came by, how they looked, etc. And even there, we have some testimony in the form of eyewitness accounts, naturally filtered through the ages (and the numerous handlers of the Bible).

Now: What dumb luck would it be if that happened with our Messiahs twice in a row?

Of course we can’t go back 2000 years and interview the wise men on Dateline, or film a segment with the farmer who owned the manger on Before They Were Famous. But surely we can go back to… 1961. Can’t we?

No, it’s the human-interest story concerning multiple “daddies” all claiming to be the exact birth location of Barack Obama, and the media’s laughable attempts to get the story straight (and pick one), and their EPIC FAIL to do so, which continues to this very moment by the way (none of which is disputed AFAIK and, interestingly, none of which comes from the Burfer camp), that’s aching for a Jerry Springer episode.

And yet they are two separate and distinct organizations, are they not? They exist at two distinct, physically separate locations, do they not? Which would make their physical proximity irrelevant to someone wishing to contribute money to the right hospital charity, or locate his birth location, would it not?

Or it is possible for him to have been born at both locations? I don’t think so (at least not without a Certification of Multiple Live Births, which was my point earlier). Yet he is claimed to have been born at both locations, not just for news stories, but as an appeal for people to take some kind of action *based* on that.

You may not realize it yet but it is this issue that makes the story relevant no matter *what* the Burfers have to say, and no matter what you have to say. It is unseemly, it is tawdry, and it is begging for Jerry Springer-style resolution.

You may think I’m wrong but the fact remains, no one can seemingly tell anyone or recall with authority where his birthplace was; the story keeps changing – one year, it’s Queens, the next year it’s Kapi’oilani; in the future, who knows where they might claim it was. One moment the beaming Kapo’is use their proud legacy to hustle money from patrons; the next, the clampdown happens, and “daddy” erases all traces from his website, except… the mailers already went out, with the proud claims printed all over it. So what’s the story going to be a week from now? A month? A year?

A baby born in the States from 2 illegal aliens would qualify.

Under the origional Natural Born Citizen definition, his COLB PROOVES he is not eligable, as his Father was a citizen of the British Commonwealth.

SO – his mother, a full-blooded American citizen gives birth to BHO on US soil, but he’s not a natural born citizen.

Good luck convincing anybody but Birthers of the veracity of those facts.

Or, and even better question, why does there seem to be no process in place to ensure that we are following the Constitution on the question of who should get on the ballot (in a number of states, a guy who is not even an American Citizen was on the ballot for the Socialist party).
