This is so stupid. Why must one be demonized as a “birther” simply because they want the birth certificate released? Hawaii officials claim it exists and that they’ve seen it, how can anyone oppose Obama obtaining and releasing it?
I asked the other night, but never got a legitimate response: Please explain WHY he should not release it?

I don’t care if he shows his certificate or not anymore. I believe he’s hiding something, which can only be the fact he was NOT born in the USA. However, suddenly we would have Joe Biden as president.. Thats an improvement?
Anyway, it will never be released until AFTER his term is up. Then, they can call all his bills and signatures null and void and we can go back to capitalism.

I believe that Obama is a natural born citizen, and while I’m not interested in the continued quest for the birth certificate, I don’t really like casting aspersions on so-called birthers. Seems kind of ugly.

For me, “why not release” is irrelevant. The filthy liar in the White House should have been disqualified in the vetting process leading up to the elections. If the case couldn’t have been pressed then, absent a 8mm film showing his birth in Kenya, we should consider the filthy liar’s citizenship legitimate.
More to the point there is SO MUCH material to attack the filthy liar on with his own actions since taking office and becoming America’s first socialist dictator, it is absurd to seek some loophole about his birth. The energy at this point needs to be focused on breaking the filthy liar and his policies.

Coulter’s right. The main reason this story has legs is because the MSM tried so blatantly to cover up so much bad stuff about Obama that we know was true: his actual friendship with William Ayers, the racist sermons he sat through in Wright’s church, his youthful drug use, his mystery trip to Pakistan in the early 1980s, his wife’s fake patronage job, etc. If the media weren’t so brazenly acting as Obama’s Nixonian clean-up team, these kinds of conspiracy theories would go away a lot more quickly. As it stands, though, if the media says something is absolutely, completely, totally untrue about Obama, odds are about 95 to 5 that it is, in fact, true.

9/11 has been studied to death, and if the Truthers refuse to accept facts, that’s their problem. Facts are facts.
In this case, it is claimed that a birth certificate exists and has been seen by Hawaii officials. Why not spend $10 (he’s spent trillions of future generations dollars) to put this to rest. Oh, most “birthers” would still continue conspiracy theories? So what. For those of us that just don’t understand the reluctance to release it, it would help.
Look, I’ve never questioned his birthplace… But the fact that he’s refusing to release it is disturbing. Again, why isn’t it disturbing to you?
Oh, and by the way… A new investigation in to 9/11 would cost countless millions and take months. Releasing the birth certificate costs $10 and is virtually immediate.
Again, anyone have a legit reason WHY he shouldn’t release it?

No, she’s not (which is very unusual for Ann). John Jay wrote to George Washington about why we need the ‘natural born citizen’ clause (July 25, 1787):
Permit me to hint, whether it would not be wise & seasonable to provide a strong check to the admission of Foreigners into the administration of our national Government; and to declare expresly that the Command in chief of the american army shall not be given to, nor devolve on, any but a natural born Citizen.
Clearly, Jay never contemplated a non-citizen as President, so his “foreigner” was someone who had held some nationality other than American.
Dual-citizens are not natural-born Americans. Period. As soon as an American takes on any other citizenship he loses any natural born status he might have had, never to regain it.
The Precedent held other citizenships and is, therefore, not natural born and ineligible for the Presidency.

I will admit my curiousity is piqued by the question of whether or not Obama sought/got student loans intended for foreign students. Since I believe him to be a natural born citizen, to use such loans would be fraud.
So I am much more interested in seeing his documents from various colleges.

The Messiah doesn’t want to release it because doing so would forever put this issue to bed. He doesn’t want that: “birthers” raise their heads often enough to keep this frivolous issue in the public spotlight. The more conservatives talk about it, the more marginalized they become. Just think about all the liberals out there who believed Bush concocted the 9/11 attacks to invade Iraq. We marginalized them for YEARS based on that kind of silliness.

Ann Coulter didn’t REALLY defend Obama.
She says yeah, he probably is a citizen…but she doesn’t say yeah for sure he is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN…she lets that pass.
And also she doesn’t get into the issues about his indonesian adoption, etc…
I think she does this just so that she won’t get labeled a Birther herself….because she has plenty of other points to make.
That said, I bet it wouldn’t hurt Ann’s feelings at all if someday in the future Obama’s true circumstances of obama’s birth and other related issues were revealed.

You summed it up correctly. He is a citizen but that doesn’t necessarily make the filthy liar an American. In fact all that going overseas and bashing America makes him just like the UN Secretary General or the head of the PLO.
I disagree that there isn’t room for doubt about his true pedigree as I also think John Kerry’s redacted military records tell the whole story about his Vietnam activism. The filthy liar in the White house could well be ineligible for office and Kerry probably got a dishonorable discharge from the Navy. It doesn’t matter because the paper trail has been expunged enough to leave doubt. What is important at this point is breaking the filthy liar by any means available. Questioning his birth isn’t one of those means.

I agree with Huckabee and Coulter on this. I also agree that a vast amount of information about Obama is secret that shouldn’t be, which helps promote theories about what he is hiding, and that the MSM has been incredibly poor in vetting Obama, raising even more doubts about him.
But I don’t think the birth certificate issue helps win votes in 2010, rather it loses them. And I don’t think the birth certificate issue removes Obama from office, at least not before 2012 and given how slow the courts can be, likely not before 2016. So, if it is going to be pursued, I hope it is done without a lot of yelling and screaming in front of cameras. The MSM and Obama would love that. It helps Obama.

Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod have both already given their highest personal assurance that they have seen the Divine One’s actual long form Certification of Live Immaculate Conception and in Holy Script! Rahm Emanuel saw it from one hospital and David Axelrod saw it from another one! Twice the absolute incontrovertible proof! And just recently in a headline worthy news report Allahpundit himself was been given Media Matters highest approbation for his devastating comparison of birth certificate truthers to the 9/11 Truthers which is sure to garner him the Noble Prize for Journalism!!! And then the greatest journalist of all time, with the possible exception of Walter Cronkite, Jon Stewart, entered the fray with dollar tug jobs at a local rest stop! I have no idea what that has to do with anything but I am sure it must be incredibly devastating and just way above my pay grade to comprehend. I refuted that assertion by saying that the birthplace was not the only thing he could be hiding. Someone asked for an example of something else he could possibly be hiding by concealing the BC. I gave an example of something else he could be concealing: his paternity.

I agree with Ann’s last point, if the MSM hadn’t covered up on stories like Edwards people would not be so distrustful now. I think he is a citizen, but I would still like to see his college application, his law school papers, things like that. I might be off base, but every other President / candidate have had those types of things published or at least out as common knowledge.
I think that Obama does have skeletons in his closet, but they are more of the mundane, “pay to play” variety.
Now all of that being said, it strikes me as very odd that this furor is occurring right when he needs a distraction about health care, to get it slipped through Congress.
Just earlier today R Gibbs admitted that Obambi had been briefed on the Gates incident. It strikes me that Obambi made a calculated move to play the race card in order to distract from the strong arming going on in Congress over the health bill.

This case went all the way to the Supreme Court before they all passed on it rather than holding a hearing and settling in on it. If Obama at least had an AG look at it, I might be satisfied, as long as it was televised. Tweetie waving it on Hardball certainly is not enough. Extremely worrisome is how Obama posted a forgery online.
