Schiff is an asterisk at this point, he’ll need to make a big move to be able to take on Dodd and prove he can raise the money to do it. Right now Simmons is the only one leading Dodd in the Q poll, and he’s still leading him well at this point. Caliguiri is behind and did badly in fundraising. Foley is behind though can raise the money but has nothing but an ambassadorship he bought raising funds for GWB to point to for experience. Simmons has proven he can win in a blue state.

Too bad Schiff isn’t ahead in the polls. With Simmons we’ll probably get a centrist who likes to spend. Schiff would be perfect; as someone said, he’s socially liberal and fiscally conservative. Perfect in my book.

Wasn’t he the biggest recipient of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac lobby money? And Obama was #2! (And as I recall, John Kerry was #3.) Oh and Dodd stonewalled attempts to fix Fannie/Freddie because the lobbyists were paying him to do so.

NJ is reeking with Democratic corruption at every level…

NJ 2010… Dems will win.
NJ 2012… Obama will win.

The press and the Dems have so thoroughly demonized Republicans (I know a lot of Dems in NJ and PA), that the Dems will just trot a new crew of fresh faces to replace the guys in prison.

Mark Foley does nothing wrong… the press demonizes the entire party… huge losses for the GOP across the nation.
