Mark Buehrle for President 2012

We are celebrating in Chicago tonight!

Knucklehead on July 23, 2009 at 11:16 PM

Damn, he threw a no-hitter two seasons ago didn’t he?

Sapwolf on July 23, 2009 at 11:32 PM

Shoot… the way things are heading, Obama might not even be the nominee… it MAY be Clinton.

It’s amazing to me that so many people don’t get this point… it’s as if no one remembers an election with an incumbent. It is ALWAYS a referendum on the sitting POTUS.

Shoot… the way things are heading, Obama might not even be the nominee… it MAY be Clinton.

BPD on July 23, 2009 at 11:31 PM

Good point about incumbency. Hell, even in 2008, the Democrats ran relentlessly against… Bush!

Bradky on July 24, 2009 at 12:55 AM

In a few days from now, July 26th, Palin will recapture the entire attention of the Democrats, Republicans, the ‘news’ media and the people of the country. It’s going to be wall to wall coverage of the ‘politically dead’ ‘quitter’ who her terrified enemies say nobody should pay any attention to.

Starting during her farewell address to the people of Alaska, she is going to do what the Establisment Republicans are too chickenshit to do: Stand Up and Fight.

Bradky on July 24, 2009 at 1:04 AM

We already know a part of that higher calling. Rather than being chained in a lose-lose scenario where she and the people were being gouged thanks to the rabid obsession of a few, Palin’s taking the fight to the enemy on a grander scale. She’s going to speak out more, be more visible in the lower 48 and campaign with conservatives for 2010.

I think helping retake the house and senate would indeed be a higher calling than being used for target practice.

But that’s just me.

YOU KEEP SAYING PALIN’S RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT

Hate to disagree with you but listen to what Chuck Heath said about Sarah’s future. He talked about Obama wanting to derail her before she gets to where she SHOULD GO. Then Chuck addresses the question of whether he is surprised that the Rasmussen poll (48-42) shows Sarah only 6 points behind Obama. He responded: “Once Sarah begins to speak her mind it won’t be 42% any longer.”

Palin is not running for President. You didn’t give me a another candidate name. Is Newt all you got? If you do have another name give it up but just remember no windsocks.

Oh I’m not saying it’s outside the realm of possibility by any means.

I’m really hoping that she is going to run because at this point she’s one of the few, if not the only, conservative with the chops to go head to head with the Won and trounce him.

But to my knowledge, besides a few whispers here and there, neither Palin nor any of her spokespeople have said anything categorically about whether or not she’s going for the big seat.

Palins first focus will probably be the jackals who have been filing the bogus ethics complaints, costing the state of Alaska so much.

Sarah going to get her book done, then work on 2010 and help “reorinize” the party. She has not closed the door on ’12. To put it blunt we will draft her by our overwhelming support.
