Oh no: Biden not lying about war-zone action again, is he?

Just passing along the info from lefty site TrueSlant. I’m frankly shocked to think they’d accuse our serially lying VP of lying serially.

As Emil points out, August 17, the day that Biden visited, was several days after fighting stopped in Georgia, and the BBC’s timeline (as well as several others I checked, many of which don’t even extend to the 17th) indicates nothing that would indicate much fighter jet activity or artillery fire. That’s not to say that there wasn’t a jet here and a round fired there, but as the photo indicates, it wasn’t much of a claim to bravery under fire. But we need to wait for Sinbad, I think, before we can really pass judgment on Biden’s claim. And give the guy a break, he’s probably just trying to impress the hot post-Soviet women.

Our posts still had Russians in Georgia as of July 17 and even later, so Greasy Joe’s war stories aren’t impossible, just … improbable. Exit question: Any willingness to grant him the benefit of the doubt as VP? I’m guessing … no.

Tuzla… shit; I’m still only in Tuzla… Every time I think I’m gonna wake up back in the Tundra.

When I was home after my first tour, it was worse. I’d wake up and there’d be nothing. I hardly said a word to my wife, until I said “yes” to a divorce. When I was home after my first tour, it was worse.

I’d wake up and there’d be nothing. When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the Tundra. I’m here a week now… waiting for a mission… getting softer. Every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker, and every minute Al Qaeda squats in the grass, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around the walls moved in a little tighter.

I thought he was eating at Katies or something!

“Look, all you have to do is go down Union Street with me in Wilmington or go to Katie’s Restaurant or walk into Home Depot with me where I spend a lot of time and you ask anybody in there whether or not the economic and foreign policy of this administration has made them better off in the last eight years.”

According to this Delaware site, Katie’s Restaurant is no longer in business; locals remember it on Union Street 25 to 30 years ago.

Hey guys, nothing about the massive sting in New Jersey?

A two-year corruption and international money-laundering investigation stretching from the Jersey Shore to Brooklyn to Israel and Switzerland culminated in charges against 44 people on Thursday, including three New Jersey mayors, two state assemblymen and five rabbis, the authorities said.

It’s a pretty big omission from the headlines.

Oh BTW, Biden is full of it.

I have completed a detailed, thorough analysis of the photo. I have been able to confirm it is a genuine photo, with no digital manipulation.

My analysis also shows that, contrary to what seems obvious, the VP is in fact shielding the lady from incoming sniper rounds. What appears to be a handshake is actually a secret SOCOM “I’m saving your life” grip, used by only the most elite Special Forces around the world.

Clearly, the VP is placing his life in mortal danger in order save the hot Post-Soviet babe unknown woman.

Midas on July 23, 2009 at 9:38 PM

FLASH! Breaking….

This just in. Joe’s been confused all this time and attributes what the press and right wing whack jobs have been calling “gaffes” to a misunderstanding that developed during his studies with Socrates, Aristotle and Gorgo the Greek barber back in the early days of Greece, when knowledge was just being invented.

According to Biden, he had always understood it this way:

If you say something that’s not true and you know it’s not true and everybody else knows it’s not true, then it’s not a lie.

You see, a lie is saying something that’s not true. But if you know it’s not true, then it’s not the truth but it’s not all the way to a lie. It’s somewhere in between.

And he cites as authority a personal conversation he had with Aristotle as the water was rising in the hold of the Titanic. Unfortunately, Aristotle didn’t make it and, therefore, Joe never had the opportunity to clear this up.

The real sad part? Joe thinks (or wants you to think) that the whole foreign contingency WTF? is winnable by simply putting Osama Bin Laden under arrest ( or under the dirt at some civilian packed wedding party/Al Q meeting). You have to wonder who has been so successful at shielding the enemy of the west for all these years. Didn’t America win WW1 and WW2 in less time than it took to figure out that reinforcing a theater might lead to dominance in a desired area of gold foil covered spinning bags of Iraqi feces?

The tit-for-tat apparently started when Clinton earlier compared the regime to “unruly children” demanding attention.

North Korea’s foreign ministry fired back, calling Clinton a “funny lady” who sometimes “looks like a primary schoolgirl and sometimes a pensioner going shopping.” The ministry was quoted as calling her remarks “vulgar” and saying “she is by no means intelligent.”

From a report running on Fox News’ website. NK has rejected the Obama administration’s latest offer of goodies to bribe it into behaving. They threw it back in Clinton’s face, along with some choice insults.

Just another example of how the Obama administration is restoring the world’s respect for the U.S.
