Awesome: Voters laugh out loud at Democrat’s promise that ObamaCare will save money

posted at 6:45 pm on July 21, 2009 by Allahpundit

Comedy gold via the boss with a little something extra tacked on below for your amusement. I don’t want to raise expectations but I think we’re nearing the point of egregious ObamaCare lies where even the White House press corps might be good for a snicker or two tomorrow night. Tapper seems like a jocular sort per his Twitter posts; how’s he supposed to keep a straight face when Obama once again calls this travesty a cost-saving measure or insists we’ll be able to keep our current insurance even though private insurers will eventually be run out of the marketplace?

Judging from the audience reaction, I’m guessing these crowds were disproportionately Republican. Or were they?

Blowback

who in their right mind would go out and ‘hire’ the federal government to run ANYTHING? (Except of course the military – but even that has tons of room for improvement)

Risky experiment at our expense. No thanks Obamacare – you can go euthanize yourself and save us the expense of extended care costs.

That is exactly why Obama is trying to get the vote done on the House and Senate bills before they recess. The bill as no chance of passing if it is actually read. The key is not to read it and Obama and the authors no this. It is for the same reasons that Hillary kept, or tried to, keep her meetings secret back in 93.

sven10077 on July 21, 2009 at 6:58 PM

Personally, I’m leaning toward the editing making it seem more enhanced than it actually is. Granted, I was there, I dont’ know for sure, but there are too many reports like this floating around for it to be a video edit on all of them.

Seems as though word is getting out, and the mask is slipping.

Why doesn’t one of them idiots explain what an “INEFFIENCY IN THE SYSTEM” IS? Is it like emptying the Bed pan only twice a day instead of each time it is used? Is it refrigerating the leftover lunch tray to serve at dinner? Is it telling Granny her hip don’t hurt so bad and sending her home to die? Maybe we can rinse and reuse catheters, needles and drain tubes on patients who are going to die anyway. How about Bring your own sheets and towels? Hospital bunk beds? No more private rooms? Old fashioned 20 bed wards? Who needs an RN, when you can get someone of Prison Release for a few dollars a day? Will bedsores be just a part of hospitalization? QID really means BID. What the hell is an inefficiency?????

Does anyone else get the feeling that it’s 1993 all over again? With a little luck 2010 could be a Democratic massacre. Let’s see, we have Obamacare, Cap-and-Trade, the Stimulus and now the absolutely horrendous idea that the U.S. taxpayer should pay for the carbon indulgences of Chinese industry. The Democrats only seem to know how to tax, spend and regulate. And if that doesn’t work at first, well then just tax, spend and regulate some more.
