Poll: What was the Obamateurism of the Week?
I’ve found that I get fewer inefficiencies in the OOTW system, although Barack Obama seems to like them in health care. That probably won’t matter as much as the fact that Obama went through……

Even if the American people recover their economy before 2012, I will not change my phrase; after all, Obama started using that phrase about Pres. Bush in 2004 when the economy was running like a freight train. His supporters all said that he meant that wages were not keeping up with the earnings all of us with retirement plans were seeing. (Under President Bush, I raised myself from the 26th percentile of earnings to approximately the 45th) Too bad that Obama’s failed economic policies allow neither employers, workers nor investors to succeed.

One has to wonder how this highly educated Harvard Law graduate ended up working for less than a year after graduation with Business International Corporation and the New York Public Interest Research Group back in 1984.

He got canned. No other plausible explanation.

His work ethic must have clashed with both firms….like no work ethic at all.

For a lawyer, that’s pretty bad.

Headed off to Chicago…spent the next several years “community organizing.” (i.e., hustling for bucks…other people’s bucks at that.)

Seems that, gee, nobody saw this train wreck coming?

Of course those of us who pointed out this sort of thing were decried as racists and angry White gun-totting bible-clinging yahoos…

If he worked for me, he’d never have lasted past the second week.

Don’t forget to add:
frequently late for committee meetings (and “promising” to read the transcripts of experts’ testimony he missed, whose time in testifying was obviously less important than his); failure to be responsive to his employers’ (constituents) complaints;
spent over half of his time on his previous job attempting to get a better job;
never hosted a committee meeting for his subcommittee, his sole area of specific responsibility;
baldfacedly lied about this the single time he was confronted about it publicly;
didn’t just disagree with his superior, which is common in every workplace, but insulted and made many slanderous and frequently unfounded accusations about his superior even before trying to get his job.

Having gained the job, he was in a hurry to take over before he was entitled to;
has spent more federal money in 6 months on parties, shopping trips, unnecessary photo ops and vacations (i.e., personal expenses paid for by the government) than any previous President in an entire term;
has visited more foreign countries in 6 months than almost any other President in an entire term, though the message he has delivered while visiting these places is remarkably unclear(that’s being generous);
he continues to violate his own recommendations to the American people in matters of personal energy consumption, smoking, charitable giving, open debate and respect for diverse viewpoints, valuing excellence in education, even humane rescue of an at-risk puppy.

Add in everything else, and except for Affirmative Action, why would you give this guy any position at all?

I’d send him back to The Community to enhance his resume and truth-telling skills.

Yeah, right. All those years of drug abuse have definitely taken their toll…and I don’t think he was all that bright to begin with.

I will say though that insurance companies have certainly crunched the numbers as I suppose dentists have despite their regular check up ads and campaigns. They know most people won’t go to the doctor if they don’t think anything is wrong with them.

It’s a lot cheaper for someone to drop dead from cardiac arrest than to find the problem early on and have to shell out tens of thousands for heart surgery. Dentists get a lot more money for crowns, bridges, etc. than they do for a cleaning.

Ultimately it’s up to the individual. And the individual is not the ideal of the Leftist State. It’s the statistics of the commune as a whole they want to brag about. They want to take care of you because you’re incapable of doing it yourself. Your problems become a reflection of their wisdom and management.

Yeah but just make sure you have your ducks in a row when you hire somebody else. People like Obama wouln’t think twice about suing your company for discrimination if “the black one” doesn’t automatically get any open job. Our first affirmative action President has never had to work for his “accomplishments.” He just points to his skin color and things fell his way- until now. He’s finding leadership is a bit tougher than reliance on demographics.

He never would have gotten past the interview, if I was doing the hiring. Too many blanks and blacked-out paragraphs in his resume.

Not only that, but it really pisses me off when I catch someone in a lie, and then they just try to backpedal and cover their tracks, instead of just coming clean.

That’s why I suspect that much of the “stimulus” has yet to be dispersed. He’ll wait until about 6 months before Nov., 2010 to pump the cash flow and deceive people into thinking his economic policies actually work.

This plan to synchronize disbursement of funds with the election cycle won’t work because the Obama administration has proven itself completely incapable of executing any plan which actually improves the lot of ordinary people. If any cash is disbursed, it will be wasted, stolen, or end up in some politicians’ back pockets and will never reach the general public.

And so, providentially, the planned delay will backfire and cause a tidal wave of discontent which cannot be slowed by this phony, incompetent group in 2010.

That’s why I suspect that much of the “stimulus” has yet to be dispersed. He’ll wait until about 6 months before Nov., 2010 to pump the cash flow and deceive people into thinking his economic policies actually work.

Two problems with that. The infusion of cash doesn’t instantly show results, particularly employment numbers which are a lagging indicator. Secondly, if the money that has been spent to date is any indication, states are using it to prop up their own budget deficits and not spending it in ways the stimulates the economy. Hard to imagine as state legislators campaign that they will opt to spend the stimulus money when they can forestall a layoff of state employees.

I’d say the litmus test isn’t either of the above bills but rather the mood of the nation and the state of the economy come November 2nd 2010. If there is some tangible turnaround that the filthy liar can lay claim to “the stimulus working” he has a better chance of keeping his corrupt majority on the hill.

We, the taxpayers, are Barack Obama’s employers. When will HE stop smoking for US?

He is our employee. It’s been six months. Time to call him into the office and tell him that it just isn’t working out and Friday will be his last day on the job. Somebody from security will be around to pick up the keys and escort him out of the building.

Of course they didn’t say anything. That’s a source of revenue.

Personally, I can see not selling soda in elementary school but sometimes it frightens me at how little self-control we attribute to high schoolers. How do they become functioning adults when they get shielded from the horrors of carbonated beverages until they are 18?

Maybe have ACORN organizers show up each day with a bull horn and call everyone out into the street?

This is the 21st Century. They’ll mandate that everybody gather at their televisions or computers each morning to get the daily devotional talking point from the filthy liar, sing the united nations anthem, and perform exercises led by the filthy liar himself or guest hosts that highlight whatever is on the agenda for that day.

And increasingly what you’re going to see is that businesses are going to incentivize their employees to stop smoking, lose weight, get exercise, get regular checkups.

We, the taxpayers, are Barack Obama’s employers. When will HE stop smoking for US?

What we can do is we can encourage those companies that have those sorts of wellness-prevention programs

Obvious why? He is supposed to be oh so smart and a great speaker. He said what he said. That it makes him look like the piece of carbon pollution that he is isn’t our fault.

Since this piece of carbon pollution was sold to the American people as being the best speaker/communicator that we had ever seen just maybe he should prove it. No pass from me for such a stupid comment. I would like to see him sequestered.

As for self-responsibility…this Administration is removing that option from the table in every piece of legislation it is trying to ram through Congress.

Most School districts already ban selling soda’s at school. They do still sell sports drinks though. Interestingly enough when I point out that sports drinks have more calories per ounce than soda’s administrators and school boards just shrug their shoulders as if I didn’t say anything. BTW I am a runner and running coach and have nothing against sports drinks. I do have something against PC style stupidity.

If self responsibility is critical and can’t be legislated what’s the point?

It’s not self-responsibility if it comes down by laws from Congress. What the filthy liar essentially said was that he probably wouldn’t go the way of John Edwards and call for mandatory check-ups as part of the system. He probably wouldn’t impose some federal “snack tax” on foods that his USDA deemed to be too caloric. He probably wouldn’t add further federal taxes on booze and cigarettes. But he never said he wouldn’t do these things.

The filthy liar view himself as the parent with a nation full of infants. He thinks he needs to use a strong hand in implementing this stuff for our own good wether it is the Congressionally-mandated lightbulbs were are going to be forced to buy, the Congressionally-mandated deathtrap we will be forced to drive, or the fact that some bureaucrat is going to make sure you obey the provisions of the new healthcare plan.

In a word, that is tyranny.
