Heh. My husband was actually concerned I’d be too convincing in costume and that he wouldn’t be able to look at me the same. Also, my hair was brown for almost two years.

Saw your blog on the Orient Point ferry. My folks had a house out in Montauk years ago, and a number of my other Texas relatives were out there during the summers. It was like little Texas out there back then (the early 70′s) I used to drag cases of Dr. Pepper out there from Texas. Jimmy Dean used to come over and golf with my uncle at the Montauk Country Club, strange to remember.
Montauk itself was bubkis back then.
My dad would take his motorcycle and go up to Orient Point over to New London and then ride up to Mount Washington.
He once was on the Ferry and saw a deer swimming to New Londan, in the middle of the Sound, miles from shore.

So you’re a drummer. Well, as an old drummer myself, you may find this interesting..
My uncle Phil Kraus, who is 91 and lives in Houston was one of the top vibists in the world for many years, winning lots of Downbeat awards. His house in Montauk was always full of well-known musicians. I met Buddy Rich at a big anniversary bash and lots of others came out there at times, like Louie Bellson and Henry Adler, who was Buddy Rich’s only drum teacher. Adler got me a great set of Rogers, since my uncle was in the catalogue, for half-price.
It was like drummer’s heaven, going up there during the summers!
My uncle still play incredibly well, and at his 90th birthday in Houston last year, he did a 10-minute solo that floored the 300 people who were there. Of course, he started playing the vibes and the drums back in 1927 (he got a tympani degree from Julliard in 1937), so I guess that all that practice paid off!

The first time I saw a picture of the pyramids when I was 6 years old. Egypt was the first trip I took alone and out of the country.

Plus, she’s the rich spoiled brat stereotype. And she doesn’t even seem to realize it.
I hate to say it, but I’d rather spend time with Paris Hilton, though I would say Megan is more attractive and could easily seem so to others if she’d lose just a little weight (not too much though).

To me, it’s not even so much about the outer looks. Neither are my type. That said, this really pains me, but I must admit I’d rather talk to Paris Hilton than MeggyMac. Paris may have personal flaws, but she never plays the victim card like MeggyMac + she’s cunning and “intelligent,” whereas watching MeggyMac is like watching a deer get caught in the headlights of a mac truck… and then get hit.

I think Paul will challenge Obama as a Democrat in 2012.
If he does, as crazy as he is, conservatives might still need to become registered Democrats for the purpose of removing Obama via Paul in the primaries.
It might be more efficient than trying to replace Obama from the Republican side of things. Especially if the expected rino favorites are our only choices. We would also be able to stop liberal vote fraud from the Democrat side of things since Democrats aren’t crippled by political correctness like Republicans seem to be.
