Culture of Corruption will go on sale on July 27th, but you can place your orders now through Amazon and have it on the first day of release.

Pre-orderd 5 copies this morning from Amazon. I sent copies to various family members residing in Texas, Washington state, Wyoming, etceteras. In order to DO this, I had to complete 5 separate orders (a different order for each address that I was shipping to).

My collie says:

Someone needs to tell Amazon what a "pain in the arse" this is -- and how POORLY written their software is.

Good to see Michelle writing books again. She always does a great job of researching her topic, and I like her writing style WAY better than Ann Coulter's.

Explaining his election is easy; 1 part media in the tank, 1 part GOP running a backstabbing old fart who ran a joke of a campaign at best, or at worst, threw the election. I maintain he didn't have to throw it; he sucked so bad there was no way he was ever going to win. But, there's your President Wet Ear Rookie. Imagine going to the Super Bowl with the Colts, and instead of Peyton Manning, you send out the 5'1 inch towel boy as your quarterback. We gave it away.

Question: has he made bad decisions in his picks for the administration, or is he essentially corrupt?

dcpolwarth on July 20, 2009

Answer: Yes.

SKYFOX on July 20, 2009 at 8:51 AM

Obama himself has picked very few of the people in his Administration, because he hasn't been around long enough to know most of these people. Valerie Jarrett, Pete Rouse, Rahm Emanuel, and David Axelrod are just about the only ones he knew personally. So it's Rahm or someone else with a longer track record doing the picking of all these other crooks and commies. Rahm has a vast network from his years in the Clinton White House and the House of Representatives.

This is the reason I often refer to it as the Emanuel Administration. Barack Obama is a Charlie McCarthy figure, a ventriloquist's dummy. Rahm is the one actually running the country.

So glad Michelle has written this. She is an actual journalist and cannot be written off by the Left as some paid RNC troll. I plan to visit my local lefty bookstore and ask for it. This is one of my favorite activities.

FYI, my husband was a big Obama supporter but he is nearly apoplectic about all the Chicago hoods and corrupt Clinton retreads that have come in to his Administration. Of all the things he thought Obama would really "change", the culture of Washington was the biggest and most important to him. It's been a pretty sad sight watching the scales fall from his eyes.

Empires decline when the ratio reverses. The good and the bad are the ends of the spectrum but when the bad outweigh the good, the weak middle caves. Eternal vigilance means we must face our enemy to defeat it

I don't think the middle is weak. In fact, what I think will save this nation from the excesses of the political class and the looting that we've seen going on since the filthy liar took office is the middle standing up and telling the crooks in DC to back off. It is my hope that it comes with a "throw the bums out" mentality for the 2010 elections where any incumbent of either party is scrambling to re-establish their credibility with the voters and not simply paying lip service to caring about their constituents.

The title is an excellent choice

The level of political-industrial-journalistic disgrace has begun to resemble Rome in decline.

People have to be made aware that the ratio of honour to dishonour is shifting. There have always been crooks. It is becoming difficult to locate the honest man in the crowd. For this we are in great trouble

Its books like these that define a President. If Mrs. Malkin's book becomes popular Obama could end up being seen as a Mr. Corrupt. Of course all this would matter less had he not specifically campaigned on a 'cleaning up politics' ticket.

Michelle Malkin rocks. Congrats Michelle. I hope you climb the charts with this latest book. Keep fighting.

I just bought a copy of Levin's Liberty and Tyranny. It is simple and clear, yet brilliant. Everyone should read it ASAP.

I will get MM's next. You go Girl.

I am still finishing Catastrophy and may put it down. The superiorty of this book lies in its nonfictional aspect. Dick Morris has a great deal of talent but anyone's attempt at prognostication rides off with a high likelihood of error, an aspect of risk for the reader who trusts the author, and a real temptation for bombast and hyperbole. The real problem is that my hedge funds for shorting the market, the dollar and T bills are in the doldrums. Luckily, I didn't even think about cash in the matress or gold. If nothing he is predicting ever breaks, (Like the Condi/Hillary contest he apparently predicted) I shall be tempted to think of Mr. Morris as a huckster. You have to watch your predictions..

Sherman1864 on July 19, 2009 at 8:26 PM I am not particulary a rube and I have "birther" questions. If I had a birth certificate in Hawaii, I wouldn't spend a second trying to thwart pubilc demands for its production, have my staff belittle people asking for it and spend a fortune fighting my citizens who are asking for its production, sometimes in court. Nor would I post a simple "Certificate of Live Birth" on the web, which is not the same as a birth certificate. Something strange here but I have a tinfoil hat at the ready wherever I go..just kidding.

I am still finishing Catastrophy and may put it down. The superiorty of this book lies in its nonfictional aspect. Dick Morris has a great deal of talent but anyone’s attempt at prognostication rides off with a high likelihood of error, an aspect of risk for the reader who trusts the author, and a real temptation for bombast and hyperbole. The real problem is that my hedge funds for shorting the market, the dollar and T bills are in the doldrums. Luckily, I didn’t even think about cash in the matress or gold.

Heroin, Morphine, cocaine, or methamphetamine. We were looking for candidate treatments to attenuate drug seeking behaviour.

Does any of your work explain the election of Duh Won?

You’re a brave woman Michelle and I appreciate the fight you fight everyday for the cause of liberty and justice for all.

Indeed. Michelle is a tremendous inspiration to me and many others who believe in individual liberty and the freedoms this country's founders intended to advance.

I can't thank MM enough for all she continues to do. And I can't wait to read this book!

Too true. When the SWIFT boat vets boat about John Kerry came out, I went to the local bookstore, only to be told by a snarky salesperson that the book was full of errors and had been recalled by the publisher. It was, of course, all a lie though to this day there are those on the left who claim that the book was a smear job.

I admire those who take a public stand on this stuff be it in books or on the airwaves. Somebody has to get the truth out and the MSM are nothing but propagandists for the filthy liar's administration.
