Report: McCaskill’s staffers flip health-care protesters the bird

Via Gateway Pundit, with plenty of photos. I don’t like to read too much into isolated incidents but I can’t help feeling there’s a lesson here.

She’s doing the goose step. Bye bye Claire.

suzyk on July 17, 2009 at 8:22 PM

It’s too bad that this pattern of congressional misrepresentation continues. Now, can Mccaskill be blamed directly—No, not directly, since the fool on her staff that’s responsible is obviously a tool that’s going to get stuck stuffing envelopes or something; however, Americans deserve better—first they flip us off, then they gas us, then–well, turn off the drip nurse, they’re a goner. See the pattern anyone…?

ted c on July 17, 2009 at 8:23 PM

Elections have consequences…even future ones, Claire.

hillbillyjim on July 17, 2009 at 8:24 PM

Can’t wait to see how they respond to hundreds of thousands who show up at the capitol on 9/12.

They’ll have a lot of flipping off to do.

The 2010 elections can’t get here soon enough.

Tsk, tsk. Good-bye Mac. Good way to treat your bosses.

ORrighty on July 17, 2009 at 8:29 PM

there’s a lesson here.

The lesson is that unless the government in this country is reined in soon and learns some respect there is going to be a historic reckoning the likes of which this country has never seen. Its human nature.

The Pride embarresment of my great state of Missouri…

or thanks to McCaskill, the state of Misery…

Wolftech on July 17, 2009 at 8:30 PM

Well, they told us at our Tea Party that going to the Senators’offices would be a better way than to just call and e-mail. It will be interesting to see if anyone else experienced the same thing. I think that there will be other stories like this one. I have certainly noticed the same thing with e-mails. They just don’t bother to answer. My Republican Congress Critter answers everything and sometimes personally with a real note. Being fair, I am nice to him and give him a high five when he does the right thing. The Senators don’t do the right thing. ever.

BetseyRoss on July 17, 2009 at 8:31 PM

Typical libs. If acorn were flipped the bird, we would never hear the end of it. Time for pitchforks.

texaninfidel on July 17, 2009 at 8:35 PM

I think we may have found our next most effective form of congressional communications.

If they won’t listen to us though new technology, I guess it’s time we go back to good old fashion one on one!

katy on July 17, 2009 at 8:38 PM

The sneering, we-will-dominate-you attitude of some of these Democrats is pretty damned chilling, if you ask me.

You have this. You have a senator demanding to be called by a particular title, and weeks later offering total disrespect and condescending racist rhetoric when addressing a private citizen. You have a president who routinely singles out and ridicules private citizens, and tells us we will accept his policies whether they’re bad or not, and whether we like it or not.

These are some scary folks. They have forgotten that they are supposed to be serving us, not the other way around.

capitalist piglet on July 17, 2009 at 8:39 PM

And all of the American taxpayers who have now witnessed how our fellow Americans are being treated in the great state of Missouri say—

Noted.

Off topic, but Walter Cronkite has passed.

Dave R. on July 17, 2009 at 8:40 PM

Sounds like condescension on the part of Missouri representatives may be a pattern. From americanthinker.com today. You decide…
**************

Dave McArthur owns a few bakeries in St Louis, Missouri; McArthur’s Bakery. His bakeries make treats of legendary appeal throughout the St Louis area and Dave is a local media personality as well.

Dave has to make his cold mixed doughy goodness hot; really hot in order to turn the goo into heaven in your mouth.

Dave asked — no, I’ve seen him twice on Fox News and the Glenn Beck Show — he begged his representative Russ Carnahan (D-MO) to tell him exactly how the cap and trade bill will affect him

In fact Dave merely wants to know if there is a maximum amount he can see in natural gas and electricity prices as a result of the bill. It’s a yes or no answer. Yes, there is a maximum amount or no there is no maximum amount.

Carnahan, who promised to meet with Dave privately to discuss the simple yes or no answer, stood him up for who knows what reason. However, Dave did get a ridiculous, purposely difficult to understand, non-answer in the form of a letter from Carnahan’s staff member. And condescending? You bet–got the back of the hand.

The fact that a roaring successful, well known and loved local business is crying out for help against an oppressive government, falling on deaf and condescending ears, ought to send a chill and not a leg tingle down all of our legs — and spines

patriette on July 17, 2009 at 8:59 PM

SEN McCaskill:
On Friday July 17th, the most abused and disenchanted people in this country–the American Taxpayers–gathered outside your office in St. Louis. As they were asking to have their voices heard, a staffer closed the blinds and gave them an obscene gesture in response to their requests. Is this how American Taxpayers are going to be treated outside your office? What other rank condescension and disrespect shall American Taxpayers get outside a Senate office? It is already patently clear that the American Taxpayer is supposed to simply quiet down and get in line for the policies that are being foisted upon us. If that is the case, one would think these taxpayers would at least be invited in for a drink of water. Or, maybe some cake? It’d be wise to increase the unemployment rolls in Missouri by +1, starting with your hand signaling staffer–maybe he/she could get a job as a crossing guard. Regards.

–make your voices heard folks. Do not give an inch. Make stuff like this hurt all the way down. Contact McCaskill–we will not stand for this.

Jim Talent was her opponent in the last election. I remember all the radio and TV ads that McCaskill ran against him. A big issue was stem cell research and she flat out lied about his position on it. She’s a conniving b**ch. A typical lib, it’s all about the power. With Ms. Claire, who’s lips are firmly planted on Obamas backside, it’s nothing but angling for a cabinet post or anything where she can be even closer to “the one”. She’s seriously demented.

C’mon admit it…the other day when there was a shooting at the Capital(near came later), I wasn’t the only one whose first thought was –
“Please let it be ______(fill in the blank) and whose second thought was,
“Please let them be a crack shot”

It’s ok to admit it, uhh right?

stacy on July 17, 2009 at 9:10 PM

Raleigh, NC had about 125 people protest in front of Rep. Ethridge’s office, 18 at Rep. Price’s office in Chapel Hill, and over 50 in Greensboro. see http://www.ncfreedom.us and http://www.ncteapartyrevolution.com for photos and vids

Local media covered 50 people demonstrating FOR Obamacare, but ZERO coverage on the opposition…and we were right in front of WRAL – the ABC affiliate in Raleigh. They finally sent a cameraman out, but refuse to air any footage or make any mention on the news.

Rep Ethridge supports nationalization of health care.

Rep Ethridge needs to go. I watched the video–it’s clear he should be listening to his constituents. Apparently, he is not.

I want protests outside every Congressional Office and a “million patient” march on DC to put the filthy liar in the White House in his proper place. If liberals want to use the middle finger all the better.

I sense a rumbling of discontent coming from all over the country;I feel these Washington elitists have no earthly idea of the whirlwind they may soon be sowing. It ain’t gonna be pretty.

Senator McCaskill, I had hope that you had some good “moderate” sense, but I was wrong.

yoda on July 17, 2009 at 8:52 PM

Claire is a flat out communist, always has been. Any appearance of moderation is purely FAKE!

Pole-Cat on July 18, 2009 at 12:30 AM

McCaskill is a crook and has always been a crook. Ask the people of Branson Missouri WHY McCaskill’s audit of the City’s books were a sham and why McCaskill and the Branson City Council’s illegal “closed door meetings” were a sham.
McCaskill has ALWAYS been for sale to the highest bidder…when she was Missouri Auditor and now in the Senate. There’s a definition for people who sell themselves…let me think,…oh yes, WHORE.

Sen McCaskill and her staff knew in advance people were coming – the protest was advertised, permits filed, right?

TN Mom on July 17, 2009 at 9:17 PM

Knowing these power hungry libs, at some point strings will be pulled, permits for such protests will be denied, and when angry taxpayers assemble anyway the local jackboots will show up in riot gear and start cracking heads. Yes this will get ugly, and the state-run media will turn a blind eye.
