That was great. Thanks for the link. To me, conservatism is like art. Other people will try to tell you what it is, but you know a true masterpiece when you see one and you also know a crappy piece of sh*t when you see one; no matter what the “experts” tell you. Let all the Peggy Noonan’s and the insignificant bloggers think they are influencing people. Gives us something to laugh at.

Palin became controversial the second the liberal base heard she was an evangelical Christian. Period, end of story.

They hated her from that moment forward for all the same reasons they hated George Bush. Indeed, she WAS the female George Bush. She was a white, female, Clarence Thomas. She’s a woman! Democrats think they OWN women the way they think they own African Americans, and own gays, and own every other minority.

If you are a minority in any way, and you step off the Democrat plantation…. you better watch your back!

I almost need to make a list to keep up with people past present and future. Especially since I am older and people who had clout in the past won’t go away. (That’s a shot at Ms. Noonan). There is really no reason for you to her except that she gets bashed here frequently. Your probably right that it has increase since she has been so harsh about Gov. Palin. If you ever get the chance to see those to speeches (I am sure they are on YouTube) they are beautiful pieces of work.

She is controversal because she came along right when we needed a strong contrast of Americanism -v- Socialism. Not just Odumbsh*t, but all over the place. She is like a candle in the darkness; hence she needs to be extinguished.

To be sure, she also is a great human being, compared to the Mess-I-ah… ummm.

And there are a number of other contrasts that she wins handily. The controversy mentioned above however is one of the ones that most people care least about…

No problem Cindy, the bottom line is that no one really knows what causes it. We have no history of autism on either mine or my husband’s side- but who’s to say it couldn’t be the combination of our genes that resulted in our son having autism? Only God knows!

But He certainly has made these little ones with a different perception than the rest of us, & it is very interesting as well as well as very challenging to deal with.

Really? Very interesting. She was a speech writer for Pres. Reagan. She wrote two of the best the Normandy anniversary speech and the Challenger speech. That said, remember that she had Ronald Reagan as her editor, left to her own devises she has been pretty much a dumba$$. She is very very impressed with herself and her circle of friends and doesn’t understand why the average American is reluctant let them make the decisions on who governs.

Which, in a perverse way, validates her attacks. If she’s playing “Hey, look at me! I’m still here! I’m relevant!” and someone who never heard of her reads her, then, strangely, her strategy works.

I still don’t get this article. Abortion isn’t about this. If you think your family can handle the pressures that come, that’s your choice.

Palin’s family is solid. It’ll be fine, obviously.

I saw that early, I hope all her friends send it to her in an email today. Not that she will see the irony.

I have only had limited experience with the disease or disability, not quite sure what to consider it. This is going to sound crazy but I became fascinated with it when I saw some photographs done by an autistic artist. I really really loved the artist’s vision of ordinary things but it made me wonder the depth of the “distortion” of things that they see and hear. Considering the prevalence it is probably safe to say that we aren’t doing as much as we could but then with so many avenues to explore maybe I am being too harsh.

God bless Todd and Sarah Palin for the example they set and the values they live. I’m praying for them everyday.

I think that the increase in Autism Spectrum diagnoses (including Aspergers) is probably a cumulative result – kind of an all-of-the-above deal.
Food allergies
Med reactions (including, but not limited to, vaccines)
Increased recognition
Over-convenient diagnoses (rare, but remember how everybody had ADD/ADHD for a while?)

And, there are probably many more triggers that we don’t understand.
