Audio: Harry Alford calls Barbara Boxer a racist

posted at 6:45 pm on July 17, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

If you thought Harry Alford had decided to forgive and forget the treatment he received from Barbara Boxer, think again.  The chairman of the National Black Chamber of Commerce told John Ziegler on his KGIL radio show that the Senator treated him like “some ignorant jigaboo up there,” and flat-out called her a racist. In fact, Alford said that she’s worse than the explicit racists with whom he’d dealt over the years:

That’ll leave a mark!

Sad part is that the kossacks and others will probably rally to Boxer and start a smear campaign against Mr. Alford, without any downside to them.

This is how Huff Po spins it.

Think Progress also decided to take a swipe at Mr. Alford.
Institute for America’s Future blasted Alford.

Firedoglake and Kos won’t even touch this story. I guess if they ignore it then it never happened.

Is that her veteran husband who’s never been in the US military?

DSchoen, I noticed that too. I have found no evidence whatsoever that the unfortunate Mr. Barbara Boxer has ever seen the inside of a uniform. Too busy protesting things and pursing left-wing causes. I am hoping that somebody is able to investigate this, and if it is true that he is not a veteran, expose Sen. Boxer as a liar.

Love it. Give ‘em hell Harry.

Wow! He is uppity, isn’t he?

Does he not understand that, with the passage of the Great Society programs, he became a ward of the state. He was bought. And he has no business

“some ignorant jigaboo up there,”

Holy crap… This is real. It looks so… Saul Alinsky… Time to use the play book as written I guess. Boxer needs to explain, after she is isolated though.

Obviously he was not in the “US military”

1958. Boxer made another unconventional choice when she entered Brooklyn College in 1958

1962, In her final year of college, at age 21, Barbara Levy married Stewart Boxer, another student, who was then 23.

In 1965 While her husband was completing his exams at Fordham, Boxer quit her job and relocated to San Francisco to find a house. She was seven months pregnant.

In 1967, Boxer and her husband moved to the city suburbs, buying a $40, 000 house in Marin County.

Still in 1967, Although Boxer later recalled that she was primarily concerned with her family life during that time, she and her husband opposed the war in Vietnam, and felt strongly enough about their position to take part in a peace march

In 1970 she oversaw publicity for a campaign to put a peace initiative on the ballot, which, surprisingly, carried the day.

No mention at all about her husband ever being in the military.

No 4 year “unaccounted for time” that he could have been in the military.

He could have been in the military 1958 – 1962 but there is no mention of it anywhere.

Why?

Joe Romm on climate progress likes this. He is a global warming freak subsidized by george soros. He thinks he can be entertained how boxer puts a Black Business leader in his place.
Joe romm is a maniac. He said and “she is trying to protect us from katrinas”
That is the stupid remark of the day. She can’t stop the rain without an umbrella. She sure can’t figure out god created the hurrican and a liberal feminist really doesn’t have a say in it.
Carbon tax has never been shown to cause or prevent a single raindrop.

I can say — as someone whose father’s military records were apparently lost in the 1973 St Louis fire — that it is conceivable that Stewart Boxer did his military stint between 58-62 and had records of it lost in that fire.

For obvious reasons, however, I remain profoundly suspicious of the senator’s citations of her husband’s “service.” I sure would like to see the senator give a much more credible, less vague account of her husband’s history, since she is so fond of flaunting it (I believe disingenuously) for the American public to see.

I agree with mr Alford. It appeared to me that the Senator acted like an idiot.

Boxer: “Mr. Alford, Hank Aaron supports my bill. What do you say to that?”.

ChrisB on July 19, 2009 at 3:35 PM

Bill O’Reilly will be interviewing Mr. Alford tonight! Yipeeeeeeeee!
