Heart-ache: Tea-party-hating superhack out at CNN

posted at 5:00 pm on July 16, 2009 by Allahpundit

Requiem for a “journalist.”

TVNewser has learned CNN correspondent Susan Roesgen’s contract will not be renewed and she will be leaving the network…

When TVNewser asked whether Roesgen’s comments at the Chicago tea party rally had anything to do with her not being renewed, a CNN spokesperson said, “I can’t comment on personnel matters.”

Let’s see what we can glean from her most famous assignment. She’s openly contemptuous of conservatives; she eagerly recycles Obama talking points; and she uses “Fox” as if it’s some type of invective. Golly, I wonder which cable news network she’ll land at.

She used to be at WDSU in NOLA, and I certainly hope she does not land back here!!!!!!

I almost hope she does – maybe we organize and run her out of here too.

I don’t think she should be given peace until she’s flipping burgers or stripping again at the Hustler Club on Bourbon Street. We need to use the tactics of the left – that means – this woman has offended us by showing us her true views – now destroy her – and don’t let up!

With her winning looks, smarts and attitude she can go far in the exciting hotel/motel cleaning industry.

Could teabagging Andy Cooper be next? 360, 180 what’s the difference to this journalistic puke? He’s as bad, if not worse than this liberal hack.

Did not mean to impugn the gallantry of our Navy.

J.J. you didn’t!
I just took the liberty of firing a broadside at Turner, after your shot took down his rigging…

Now hear this: Lookouts report sighting the spitkit Hanoi Jane off the port bow. All hands topside, ready shortarms to render honors…
Commence peeing to port at will~~~

I’m kinda indifferent on having Nips back on TV news in New Orleans. Then again, I don’t watch WDSU.

The pro would be her teaming back up with her WDSU co-anchor Norman Robinson. There might be a chance the two cover Mardi Gras drunk. She can expose herself again on TV while Robinson pees in front of the cops a second time as well.

The con is that the NOLA libs would LOVE to see her back. Some hack journalist at the T-P would write some puff piece on her and there’d be a 300 comment thead on NOLA.com on how great she was for standing up to those teabaggers.

Maybe Huffpo or the Kos Kids will pick her up. They definitely deserve each other.

She got fired because she gave the Tea Party protesters air time and notoriety around the internet + juicy stuff for Fox News to attack with. The tea parties were supposed to be ignored and downplayed…not brought to the forefront.

If you were a vindictive person then it would be great if she goes back to WDSU. Then you can laugh at her for crawling back to her old job after her epic failure.

Strictly for a research project.

I remember her at ‘DSU too.

Am I wrong to think she’s hot?

soundingboard on July 17, 2009 at 3:59 AM

She wasn’t there to get the news she was there to argue with them. She was clearly not objective. Then tried to say something about the crowd was out of control not family viewing. Bullshit CNN is clearly BIAS.

Yea fox would never look at her resume, fox is all about smart people. And the women they hire are all amazing to look at. Except Greta but she made her career off the OJ trial.

When TVNewser asked whether Roesgen’s comments at the Chicago tea party rally had anything to do with her not being renewed, a CNN spokesperson said, “I can’t comment on personnel matters.”

What she couldn’t say is, CNN didn’t let her go because she was a character assassin. They let her go because she wasn’t an effective character assassin.

If you’re going to be in the character assassination business, you have to be able to do your job competently. Phosgen left too many openings for her mark (and his 18-month-old child) to get the drop on her, thus epic embarrassment for the network: “Buh-bye now, you’re no longer assassinating for our team.”

RD on July 17, 2009 at 10:49 AM

Dang.

Just looked at her bio and see that she and I over-lapped at Montana State University for 1 year. I guess every school has a black sheep.

They -CNN created the environment, she felt safe to behave the way she did. So now they fire their creation? Sure that sounds about right, this is how they keep morale up in the cable news business? Hint: we can tell when the people who work for NBC/MSNBC are unhappy participants same goes with CNN. The Media Bunnies and Peacocks thrive on adulation….people can’t adulate them if they won’t turn in to watch them ;)
