Not only is his pronunciation of the name of the old park incorrect but his description of it is wrong as well. In the interview he’s telling Costas about the steep upper deck in the old park and refers to the “nosebleed section.” The reality is that Old Comiskey did not have a steep upper deck – the new park does. In fact the gentler pitch to the old upper deck accounted for the obstructed view seats that were on the lower level. Anyone who was ever in the old park would know that. I doubt he ever was.
Has this character ever been honest about anything besides his unquenchable ambition?

So film clips show Obama getting a photo-op with the Say-Hey Kid. I think if I could get a picture made with one of the greatest players ever, right after demonstrating that I was lousy, I wouldn’t be photographed doing what I always do too much of–talk.

Would it really hurt to be slightly humble and give Willie Freakin Mays the opportunity to seen giving the President some pointers?

If he can’t learn baseball from Willie Mays, is he capable of shutting up and learning anything from anybody?
