So far her views on the 2nd Amendment and Abortion are not clear. I can’t give her a pass on her lack of clarity on those issues. She is a pig in a poke so to speak.

There are more qualified and more honest Judges out there. Obfuscation on 2A and abortion issues is voting “present”.

This confirmation hearing is a farce. Wise Latina’s would not have made public statements like she has and Sen. Graham called her on it yesterday. She had no answers that clarified anything. She is no moderate and far from objective.

Franken is just a middle aged wise assed punk.

I can’t stand people who speak slowly and deliberately as if it makes them sound smarter. There’s a black poet lady who does the same thing. Can’t stand her either.

Yeah, it’s very often condescension that’s behind that. Very offensive, irritating.

I wonder if Sotomayor speaks like that intentionally to irritate. It’d be one way to accomplish “overriding” or “overruling” others, continue to annoy them to such a degree that others are over eager to get away from you.

Argh, FOX just announced that “it’s over” as to any more questioning of Sotomayor by any Republican/s.

“Now it’s on to the closed session with the FBI bacground checks…”

A very sad day for the U.S.A., a very, very sad day.

Too bad she’ll (also) get a pass from the FBI on her high debt to income ratio. I’m sure Sotomayor or another Democrat (or all of them) will just say it’s becuase she’s “a wise Latina” and “underprivileged” that she has so much debt despite earning over $100,000. a year for quite a while now.

I do maintain that her unusually high debt indicates a person of at least questionable circumstances, and, that it leaves her available to certain compromises.
