Sen. Franken(stein)thought he was on SNL. But, I agree with many other posters, we know his election was cloudy, now we have to believe he is qualified to be on the Senate Judiciary Committee NOT. The joke is on U.S. The Demoncrates politics are trying to make U.S. believe what they want U.S. to believe. We should not allow this to oontinue, call your Senator and tell them not to confirm Sotomayor and reassess what committees Franken(stein) is on.

I grew up in Wisconsin, Jeff. Probably not good for a state that keeps sending Kohl and Feingold back to the Senate to cast too many aspersions. But thanks for sending Favre west — that should sabotage those Vikings real good. :)

What is amazing about this clip is not a Senator asking a Sotomayor about Perry Mason but her responding with “Yes Sir” to him. If you watch her exchange with Senator Graham yesterday she almost responds with a Yes Sir but catches herself a couple of times. Besides being fed Democrats questions they were going to ask, I wonder if she was told not to give any of the Republicans respect with a Yes Sir. I have not seen any of the confirmation hearing except what is posted here so I don’t know if she has given any of the Republicans such respect.

Don’t forget the state was basically the test run for the hope and change song and dance routine with Barry Lite. (And as bad as his poll numbers are now I still expect these schmucks to vote for Deval again.)

Minnesota is making it easier for the South to secede, again. I really don’t want to be tied to a state that elects Al Franken to the Senate.

No offense to Minnesotans. I like them very much and had a good time camping up there a couple of summers ago. I nearly froze to death, but it was nice.

How did Franken even come close in that election? I can understand them wanting a Democrat because of Minneapolis/St. Paul being an obviously urban population and probably a bunch of farmers wanting subsidies in the rest of the state, and then there’s name recognition. But whoever went up against him in the Dem primaries must have been…well, I can’t even imagine!

Wow, let’s pretend that you were just kidding like I would like to pretend the voters actually (with the help of a very bizarre recount)elected you to office. I don’t feel a bit sorry for the Minnesotans that actually voted for this guy but I do for the rest of us that have to put up with his jokes for the next six years.

Can you imagine him in any sort of crisis? “Say Mr. President why don’t we send a copy of me doing Stuart Smalley to the Iranians that will help cement our relationship. A little humor never hurt don’t you think Mr. President?” We are all so screwed with this guy pretending to be a comedienne, pretending to be a senator, pretending to be a comedienne.
