Video: Even All-Star Game not safe from gratuitous Obama photo ops
posted at 9:06 pm on July 14, 2009 by Allahpundit
I’m so bored of watching him that I almost clicked over to the Food Network in disgust. But then I figured he’d probably be on there too, making casseroles with Rachael Ray or whatever, so I stayed put.
Dude, seriously: What’s with the mom jeans? Click the image to watch.
Update: Hi-rez mom jeans!

Nauseating, but in fairness, there was a decent share of these involving Dubya, too.

He appeared at my nephew’s circumcision and gave a tiresome, yet historic, self-referential speech.

Nils2en on July 14, 2009 at 9:12 PM
No, no, those were cows!
They were “moo-ing” in approval of Great Leader.
MSNBC reported it, so it must be true.

He did alright. I respect that he stayed loyal to his team. I didn;t know he was a southpaw.

I thought I heard boos too.
Lance Murdock on July 14, 2009 at 9:14 PM
Did u notice that they didn’t show the pitcher catcher angle? Just his girl like motion. Bet he didn’t want the audience see his pitch..

Did you notice that they didn’t track the baseball, neither live nor in replay? I wonder if there was fear that he may not throw a strike, and the media certainly would not want to show Obama fail…

I go out of my way to avoid the news and now he’s invading sports?
Next time I open a beer, will he appear?
NoDonkey on July 14, 2009 at 9:18 PM

He throws like a Kenyan born post circumcision Islamic girl.
TheSitRep on July 14, 2009 at 9:18 PM
Obama controls Fox Sports and MLB too! WTF?! I can’t watch my favorite sport in the world without watching that jackass. Now he is in the booth with Joe Buck and Tim McGarver.
I’m forced to watch Hannity for several minutes. I can’t stand Obama.
jencab on July 14, 2009 at 9:18 PM
Actually, I didn’t hear the boos.
I lived in St Louis, went to a few Cardinals games. Given the preponderance of blacks among the fans, I would think that anyone inclined to boo this disgraceful hack would give it a serious second thought. Stands could start looking like a South American soccer riot in no time flat.
guntotinglibertarian on July 14, 2009 at 9:18 PM

I’m surprised Obummer didn’t fly both Al and NL All-star teams to DC to play on the lawn…at the taxpayers expense of course. The only thing more boring than the All-star baseball game is Obama at the All-star game

Lot of silliness here at HotAir. The derangement quotient is very high in this thread. Baseball = America’s pastime. Presidents’ throw out first balls at big baseball games. Wow. Issue a friggin’ news alert. Boos? Yeah. Some of them politically motivated? No doubt. It’s a baseball game rocket scientists. He represented his team and wore a White Sox jacket. St. Louis fans DO NOT like the Chicago teams. Thus, many fans booed. I’m a conservative, but this place is a joke sometimes.
dakine on July 14, 2009 at 9:21 PM
Just saw a reply of the first pitch and the ball was going to be short until Pujols grabbed in before it hit the ground.
Nothing like a W toss, Obama pushed the ball in there instead of throwing it like a man.

Dakine, this is only the fourth time a President has thrown the pitch at an Allstar game. Just sayin’.
bikermailman on July 14, 2009 at 9:23 PM
The White House “piped in” applause over the loud speakers and the network coverage to cover any “boos” if they occurred……………..
………. What, you don’t think they would stoop that low?
Seven Percent Solution on July 14, 2009 at 9:23 PM
I missed that one. Too busy looking at the Cosmo issue that covered what sort of panties he wears when he goes on a date with Hugo Chavez.

My husband is watching the game right now and they are showing more of him on tv than the game. That’s why I am on here I don’t want to watch him on tv.
Brat4life on July 14, 2009 at 9:23 PM
White Sox? Liberals, designated hitters, they go hand in hand. Somebody read the new version of whatever they’re calling the Fairness Doctrine bill to see if it also forces the DH on baseball teams that don’t need a crutch for their pitchers.
rihar on July 14, 2009 at 9:23 PM
Hey, he’s wearing a White Sox jacket. Can’t Mcleod file an ethics complaint?

ya know one thing I hated about the last 8 years is how liberals would nitpick the stupidest shit about bush’s activities.. “omg he went golfing what an asshole!”, shit like that
if obama wants to throw out the first pitch, why should I care?

I lived in St. Louis County 06-07 and my birthday was the day before the Dead-birds won it all.
I almost didn’t live to see another birthday being that the week prior I was wearing Cubs gear and vocally rooting for the A.L. team.
