“I love those folks who helped get us in this mess and now say, ‘This is Obama’s economy.’… That’s fine. Give it to me … So I welcome the job. My job is to solve problems. Not to stand on the sidelines and carp and gripe.”

“‘So there’s no bailout plan for the National League?’ Buck asked, laughing.
‘No,’ said the president, ‘we’re out of money.’”

We know you’re all about blame, Comrade Obama. You can’t really do much else, as you didn’t even try to pass a stimulus package! I would like to call it “failed”, because you so love to sit and judge what has failed and what hasn’t, what we just cannot do anymore. But it really didn’t even try.
Why didn’t it work? I don’t know–passing something through that has never been fully vetted has always worked before–hasn’t it? Perhaps it failed because somebody read a little bit too much of it and spoiled the magic. Perhaps not enough people chanted “I do believe in Barry, I do! I do!”

He didn’t “make that call”. He gave orders that said “only if the hostage’s life is in danger”….Cmdr Frank Castellano “made the call”…and the seals gave their usual stellar performance.
Do you really believe that if any of the seal’s hadn’t been perfect, Castellano wouldn’t have been the next bumps under the bus?

The economy is tanking as was predicted by most people who have a basic understanding of Keynsian macro-economics. History proves that demand side/government big spending never works.
That aside, this president will be indicted for treason and /or corruption by the fall of 2011. The treason charges will be with his ongoing foreign policies relatiing to anti-american treaties with the likes of tyrannic regimes of Chavez/Ortega/Putin/Ahmadinejad and so forth.
The connections will finally documented and made public tothe American people concernig all of his ties to the Chicago machine of corruption involving Americrp/Acorn and so forth.
On top of that is the unlawful firings of the the IG inspectors. His claim to being bonified let alone qualified teacher of constitutional law appears to be quite an assertion to make given that no records of his college transcripts, classes or grades have yet to be released to the public.
We really don’t know all there is to know about Obama except that now he is in the White House trying to pull us away from our successfull past by remaking America weaker every day he is in office.

This is rich coming from the man who pushed through and signed the biggest spending bill IN THE HISTORY OF THE FREAKING WORLD. In doing so, he signed generations of Americans into an enormous debt that will reduce our standard of living and stifle American growth for decades.

Door handles break, CV joints do not last, electric windows have got problems and the electric fans are problematic. After four Hondas, I went back to Fords. No problems with my F-150 or my Exibition.
Johan Klaus on July 15, 2009 at 1:12 AM
Delirious.
I’ve owned 3 hondas. All were totally bulletproof. Never spent a dime on a ‘repair’. However I have owned 3 American made cars. All were total pieces of excrement, and I never spent a dime on maintenance…all outlays were repairs. It’s really pathetic. I’d gladly pay 5000 more per Honda than an equivalent American made car, and I will always check the manufacturing stamps to make sure the car was built and assembled in Japan.

Bush told the terrorists to bring it on, and Obama tells the weaker domestic political party to bring it on.
Hmmm. Interesting contrast.
But he lost me where he talked about “folks who helped get us in this mess”? Mostly Barney Frank, ACORN, and other assorted Socialists. Is he against them now? I’m happy at least now he’s figuring it out.

In semi-related news, The Precedent is threatening to pull Porkulus funds from Arizona in order to hurt Kyl, who is talking about stopping any more Porkulus funds from going out.
This is kind of neat, GOP Governors are forced to take Porkulus money while the same treasonous administration is threatening to withold the same Porkulus money (now after they forced it on everyone) in order to attack a GOP Senator. Do I hear, “massive abuse of official position”, as in “high crimes and misdemeanors”?

Except he didn’t. They acted under the standing orders that permitted them to take a shot if they perceived the captive’s life to be in immediate danger. The only credit Obama can rightly claim is that he let those orders stand. He never actually gave an order to shoot.
The pirates had their weapons pointed at the hostage’s head for days on end, so it’s a little unclear why the Seals all seemed to agree at one point that the hostage was now in immediate danger. A lot of people suspect they made a convenient “interpretation” of immediate danger once they all had a clear shot.
Regardless, it was the people on the scene who dared to decide to take the shot. They were never given official clearance to do it, as they should have been from the very beginning.
Which might explain why the pirates were so mad afterwards. According to the rules they thought were in effect, they shouldn’t have been shot.
It appears the Seals decided at some point that they had clear shots, and that if they would just interpret the hostage situation as immediate danger, they could go ahead and fire.

Before you get too giddy, just remember three words: President Joe Biden.
Oh well. Could he actually be worse?
ThereGoesTheNeighborhood on July 15, 2009 at 2:05 AM
As truly sad as it is to say, I’d take Biden over The Precedent in a second. Biden’s just a buffoon. At least, he has American sensibilities and isn’t actively looking to destroy our nation. Biden would spend half of his time just trying to figure out how to get around the White House.

I think I get the most angered about the total lack of regard for either one of their backgrounds. SHE had her attorney’s license yanked away by the bar and no one cares to find out exactly why. HE, supposedly has a brilliant mind and was a Constitutional lecturer, yet no one comes forth with any proof of this, with either grades, or personal stories. It’s like a big blank page that everyone seems to accept. In fact, the only thing I can recall in
the way of personal endorsement was from two black ladies who worked with Obama when he was a community organizer, and even their testimony was suspect.
I bristle everytime I hear the right and the left extol the
high intellect of this worm. I have not seen it. I have not heard it. Where, exactly is it? I’d love to know what I have been missing.

The “folks” who helped make this mess:
Christopher Dodd
Barney Frank
Freddie and Fannie Leadership (liberal Dems all)
If it were not for Democrats in Congress requiring home loans be given to people who had no business getting loans, the economy would not have gone south under the weight of the housing collapse. The arrogant prick in the White House has only his own party to blame for his economy and the sooner the arrogant bastard is reminded of that fact the better the GOP will do in 2010.

Of course not. Everything the filthy liar says comes with an expiration date. The spin will be we are out of money but extending universal healthcare to all Americans (by which “all” means welfare recipients, illegals, and those otherwise unproductive or outside societal norms) is too important to let lack of funding get in the way. We need to pass this legislation and figure out how to pay for it as we go along (which means higher taxes for less coverage for all).

Out of money? Out of money!? Barack’s seventeen Czars and Michelle’s twenty “attendants” prove that someone’s not getting the point of just what being “out of money” actually means, cause the Obamas continue to ding the taxpayers for these ludicrous bulbous expansions of THEIR spending for frivolities and egomaniacal indulgences, such as has never been seen before (and I hope never is seen again).
But I still think Michelle Obama having hired her round the clock “eye brow plucker/redrawer” to do her (Michelle’s) “makeup” is just about the height of greed and insanity in one big ball of awful.

When I was about 9 years old, I remember coming in after dark (which was a real bad “no no”), and I didn’t tell my parents where I was.
I stood at the door planning my entrance, and knowing I was going to “get it”.
I took a deep breath, walked in (after dinner), and with my most enthusiastic voice said “hello, everyone, I had a great time, sorry I am late, but what an exciting day, yada, yada, yada”….my parents and brothers just starred at me, the enthusiasm was infectious and I got away with it.

You forgot Rahm Emanuel, who was head of Freddie Mac when all the stealin’-jivin’ was taking place. And Obama’s launching-lawsuit that got that rollin’, suit demanding Citi engage in “skin color” loans without credit worthiness.
So you see it was a big organization of rip-off by the Left using governmental processes to do so. I think they planned the downfall results but we’ll likely never hear the Democrats admit it: they really wanted (and continue to want) the U.S. as a capitalist economy to fail.
There’s no other explanation for the individual largesse by the Obamas, other than they could not care less.
What reasonable and responsible people do, at times of financial crises, is reduce spending, economize. What the Obamas do, as with nearly all Democrats based upon the news I read, when faced with financial crises, is create more debt by continuing to spend more or at least not reduce what they’ve already been wasting.
Look at California for proof of that, look at Michigan, look at Barack and Michelle Obama: they have no respect for good money management.

As I’ve commented this morning, it’s one thing to have a recession triggered during your time in office, but to enact or attempt to enact every provision possible to exacerbate the problem is another thing entirely.
President Obama has inherited a weak economy and is bullying it into submission on behalf of the American Left. Capitalism itself may have finally met its demise, at least in this country.
