I oppose abortion, but is this the correct strategy to fight it? We regularly roll our eyes at the Code Pink protests at Congressional hearings when they disrupt proceedings. They even got on Barney Frank’s nerves in March. These disruptions marginalize the legitimate efforts by pro-life activists to end the millions of abortions in the US.

This is how the mortgage meltdown started. Some noisy protestors disturbed peace and quiet at banks and by many years later, banks were lending to prevent disturbance. Lending without down payments and without loan applications.

Agree, these corrupt and incompetent Democrats have staffers who shield them from their constituents, a press that throws them nothing but softballs and donors who kiss their butts in order to rake in billions later.

Our Congress doesn’t listen to us – they listen to a very small fraction of the people. They cement themselves into office like monarchs. Elections are mere formalities.

Congressmen don’t deserve the respect of Americans, they traded it away for trinkets and beads. That Barney Frank and Chris Dodd are still in Congress after destroying our economy, speaks volumes.

So how does somebody that is passionate about not killing off life get through the gatekeepers that keep the masses at bay from political whores like Feinstein? E-mails and calls don’t work. There is no such thing as a legitimate town hall to ask politicians about the issues (Obama has just been extremely clumsy with his plants).

I ask you, what the hell is wrong with a little disruption if it means we are talking about it beyond the few seconds it occurred? Sometimes behaving badly is the only way to get things done.

A tactic, yes, but one designed to demonstrate passionate opposition. Call it what it is, then attack it from that standpoint.

I don’t even know if I am accurately ‘attacking it’. To whom was this person’s opposition directed? What was it about this forum, subject, and particular instance that compelled this person to act out? It was an aimless, irrelevant and therefore irrational outburst.

I am passionately opposed to lunacy. It was the behavior that I am describing; not the position.

Joking aside, that sort of behavior is unnecessary.

Until women are free to choose to terminate extra-uterine children they will remain oppressed second-class citizens. Nancy, Diane and Sonya should be leading this fight.

As an added social benefit, when women are finally fully free to choose everyone will be nicer to their moms.

Feinstein then got back to asking Sotomayor some tough questions, like, “Why are you so awesome?”
