Quotes of the day

“Somebody wrote to me on vacation and said, you know, what do you think about Sarah Palin, you know, would you endorse Sarah Palin, blah, blah‑blah. No, never. Not because of any other reason than these people have betrayed me and what I believe and what they said they believe over and over and over and over again. I don’t believe any politician. However, with that being said if I had a gun to my head and had to pick one, I think I would pick Sarah Palin. Does that mean she is who she says she is? I don’t know yet. But I know she’s not who the media says she is. And who the media says she is is stupid…

Now we’re at the beginning of this shift of the paradigm, but I believe Sarah Palin understands that and she understands that the two‑party system, whether it’s in two weeks, two years, ten years, I don’t know, but the two‑party system either has to correct itself which would be a major purge, or the two‑party system is broken forever. I think she knows that… I could be wrong but I think she’s brilliant.”

***
“Just 24 percent of those accept Palin’s explanation that she resigned because it was the right thing to do for Alaska. More than twice that percentage – 52 percent – cited her political ambition as the reason for her resignation…

Thirty-nine percent of those surveyed expect Palin to run for president in 2012, while 43 percent say she will not. If she runs, she’ll likely face widespread skepticism: As CBS News revealed Monday morning, just 22 percent say Palin has the ability to be an effective president. Sixty-five percent say she does not.”

The Saracuda has alot going for her. If she decides to run under a third party banner, she could conceivably take the majority of the cynic vote, which could in itself give her the presidency.

I think she has alot more credibility in that she lives as she believes, unlike the “do-as-I-say…” politicians. All she has to do is get that message out, as if that’s a minor issue.

But if she runs, I’m voting for her!

tuffy on July 13, 2009 at 10:40 PM

Sixty-five percent say she does not.

As they realize how much the MSM has been lying about everything this number will drop precipitously. The MSM have really gotten themselves into a spot, they need to be validated on their sky-high praise of The Precedent (who is a fairly stupid individual who has no idea, whatsoever, what he’s doing) and they need to be validated on their awful attacks on Sarah Palin, who has thrown them all for a loop with her latest move. The MSM declared her dead and gone right after her speech, but she is more alive now than ever. The wall is going to break and those slimeballs in the MSM are going to get crushed. They can see it happening but they are totally unable to stop it. Their messiah is running around like a 12 year old with a new toy train, at best, and their predictions and analyses of Palin are being proven 100% wrong on an almost hourly basis.

The end for the MSM is coming, and it’s going to be bloody.

V15J on July 13, 2009 at 10:47 PM

LOL – all the pundits are so shortsighted.

Running for President, being President – isn’t the only way Sarah Palin can re-write American politics.

She may run for President – if she evaluates the situation and concludes she has a shot. But if not – she can very well be the backstop for new Conservatives who would have a shot.

What if …

Sarah Palin woo’d Bobby Jindal away from the GOP and ran as HIS running mate? Or what if she just endorsed him? Or someone like him?

See this is the problem. The SOUTH is the GOP stronghold – yet there is NO DOUBT the bulk of Palin’s support comes from the SOUTH.

This spells trouble for the GOP if she makes a break. You’d think … politicians they are … they’d find a job for her and harness all that energy and charisma she has. But they are too stupid. Kinda like headlighting deer – they just stand there and wait to get shot at.

Love your point of view and agree with you especially how they have backed themselves into a corner. They actually have nothing to say at this point in the game. They got their guy in office and I bet they banked on the public salivating over every move he made and they would be first to report! How wrong they were. So they are stuck with discussing a stale fairy tale which lost its luster months ago. The next time they may be relevant will be elections of 2010 but can they keep up this farce for another year? We’ll have to wait and see.

Just be herself, tell the truth and run on reforming the current corrupt Good Old Boy system by working for Term Limits for all 3 branches of government and the people will respond.
I am Sick of carreer politicians and media know nothings sitting in their ivory towers and telling me how I need to live my life.

p40tiger on July 13, 2009 at 11:07 PM

V15J on July 13, 2009 at 10:47 PM

Good letter. If that’s how she thought back on Nov 6th, she must be absolutely apoplectic, now (as I am). I’m sure the Sotomayor confirmation hearings aren’t going to thrill her too much, either.

I’ve said this before; if the US truly falls to the collectivists, then conservative Americans will be something like the new Jews:

- a people defined by their adherence to a philosophy that is detailed in a few specific writings of the Founders and a few others.

- a land given by G-d over which that philosophy is to be applied; Divine Providence. (I am stretching on this one, but cut me a little slack … some poetic license)

- nowhere in the world that agrees with them about governance and how society should operate – always aliens.

- because of the conservative attitudes about individualism and property, they will outperform most people, wherever they go – and be hated for it.

- they will dream of returning to the land of individual liberty that they were promised … always wishing for “next year in the US with the Constitution, individual liberty, and property” (as it will have since been renamed to the American Socialist Superstate)

Just a little analogy I’ve been tossing around for a while, because if the US falls, there will be nowhere for individualists and true capitalists.

I don’t even pretend to know what’s really going on with Mrs. Palin – but I do sense that she’s gonna break out now with guns blazing (not necessarily literally!).

I can’t wait to see what she does. Whatever it is, she will have my full support.

Do I think she’s our next Presidential candidate? I think probably not. Not yet.

She’s got a far more important task ahead – that of being the catalyst for true change…for those of us who yearn for all we’ve lost – or possibly have never experienced (hey – it’s been two decades since Reagan).

I’m disgusted with the current state of the Republican party. I know I’m not alone. And I believe whatever Sarah does, it will be right in line with my personal convictions, so again – she’ll have my full support.

Sarah Palin,is the can-do American, improvises when needs to,
she has morals, honesty, and integrity, that the Liberals only
can dream of,or ever attaining, due to their brainwashed ed-
ucation,and Lefty I Hate America-Two America`s ala Silky`s
opinion of mentality!

In short,Sarah Palin is the Patriotic Women, who is quickly
gathering a SarahCuda Army,of pissed off Liberal as well as
Independent women, who have been soured,by the process of
Team Obama`s Administration,

that all began, with the comment by Hopey to an Infobabette
who, called her `Sweetie`,which was followed up by the `Pig
Lipstick comment`!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
