Pat Buchanan: Maybe it’s time for Todd Palin to push Levi Johnston’s head in a toilet

posted at 5:30 pm on July 13, 2009 by Allahpundit

Via Breitbart, a cool, refreshing, palate-cleansing sorbet playing off this morning’s interview on the Today show, in which LJ reiterated his belief that his child’s grandmother is a super lady who’s also (a) an egomaniac and (b) never going to get his vote for president. Is it appropriate to hope Todd Palin takes violent revenge on a kid who impregnated his teenaged daughter and then became the media’s useful idiot in trying to destroy his wife’s career, all while parlaying it into photo shoots for the likes of GQ? In this as in so many things, I find wisdom in one of Chris Rock’s old bits: I’m not saying Todd should do it, but I’d understand.

But there are a lot of people who would be willing to do it for him.

Defector01 on July 13, 2009 at 5:35 PM

I saw this in the morning, I thought Mika was going to blow a gasket at the insanity of Levi Johnston being sought for his opinion on Palin, good for Mika. Pat just said aloud what most think about this toad of a boy. Who’s a bigger snake though the media that seek him out or the toad who happily complies?

msmveritas on July 13, 2009 at 5:35 PM

So, is the kid paying child support? You know he’s receiving money for these interviews. He whined that he shouldn’t have to pay support since Bristol won’t let him take the baby out of her presence. Not hard to figure out why she won’t.

Blake on July 13, 2009 at 5:35 PM

What’s weird is that, in order to ‘reveal’ the real Sarah Palin, the media is relying on the absentee father of a boy that knocked up a 17-year-old and then left her and the baby so he could cash in on his infamy.

No offense, but, they really ought to get better sources than that.

If he’s one of their named sources, what kind of hideous creature are they hiding with an unnamed source?

JadeNYU on July 13, 2009 at 5:37 PM

What is the Today show paying this idiot?

d1carter on July 13, 2009 at 5:37 PM

Guys palin is an idiot. I’m sorry. If I hear the word maverick again out of her face I’ll vomit. I can gaurantee she’s going to try a third party run under the maverick banner. She should really go away. I voted fog her in the last election, not mclame, but she should pack it in. If 2012 wasn’t so important, maybe we could endulge in her. Not now. We have to get rid of bho, she’s going to sink us.

texaninfidel on July 13, 2009 at 5:37 PM

Yep. He should b*tch slap that little punk AND strongly advise his daughter to sue him for child support. I’d put the pressure on him BIG TIME.

marklmail on July 13, 2009 at 5:37 PM

Has anyone ever checked to see how he’s benefiting from this hand-holding with the left? Money? Jobs? Film roles? I fully expect him to be given a czar position any day now.

Thunderstorm129 on July 13, 2009 at 5:39 PM

Thunderstorm129 on July 13, 2009 at 5:39 PM

Does Levi really understand what he is doing?

Sarah Palin’s is his son’s grandmother.

His son’s mother is her daughter.

Relationships with “the other family” in split custody situations are hard enough in normal circumstances.

Imagine layering this on top of it.

Levi’s going to wake-up one day, find himself 30 y.o.-plus, and be absolutely ashamed of himself for what he’s doing.

Pat Buchanan said it well. I know many who wouldn’t blame Todd for doing what Pat suggested.

texaninfidel on July 13, 2009 at 5:37 PM

If you’re in the same boat with the Republican Ayatollah’s … better get a scuba tank – you’re already sunk.

The GOP needs to die – and Sarah Palin may be the person to kill it. I’m behind her. And hey – no one’s saying that she has to be President – but her charisma is more than enough to get a new party FOR AMERICANS started.

You think she’s an idiot? M’kay … that’s fine. I tend to think the GOP Ayatollah’s that chose not to use her talents to help rebuild the GOP are the real idiots. They threw her away – it wasn’t the other way around. But I’m really glad they did. And, I know I can continue to count on them to drive her farther away from them. Even if she has no intention of leaving the party – I’m sure the Ayatollahs will leave her no choice but to.

GO SARAH PALIN – AND THE AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE PARTY (ACP) IN 2012!

GO! ZOMBIE CONSERVATIVES!! (Because the media says we’re dead – hehehe … we’ll show ‘em!)

Bishop on July 13, 2009 at 5:55 PM

I can gaurantee she’s going to try a third party run under the maverick banner.

No she won’t. Palin’s not “idiot” enough to even think about beginning a ‘third’ party much less running under one. Doing so would only guarantee Obama a second term, but it would also ensure that the Conservative agenda never plays a prominent role in American politics again. I think the individuals calling for a ‘third’ party need to slow their roll and calm the hell down.

I look at it this way; If you own a company and it’s performing poorly-you don’t tear down the company and try and built a new one in it’s place. No, you FIX the problems within the company and rebuild it to an efficient and effective level once again. I believe Palin could do this very thing. She just needs to step up to the plate.

As far as LJ is concerned; the Palins should avoid “drama” and write-off this immature tool. They’ll be much better for it. Quit playing into the MSM’s and the Left’s ‘hand’ by engaging in tit for tats. It does nothing to advance the general conversation nor is it relevant to the American people. The Palin’s would do well to ignore him and not turn everything involving this idiot into an episode of Jerry Springer.

I’m of the philosophy that 2010 should be the main priority-not 2012. If Obama is made ineffective (by not having a rubber stamp-all Democratic Congress), then he becomes unable to accomplish any of his goals/agenda. And if he can’t push through any legislation, who cares if he’s in the White House or not? He’s ineffective and irrelevant all the same.

Todd Palin has too much sense to waste his time on this loser. He’d never be able to do to Levi what Levi is doing to himself. Remember, when the enemy is self-destructing, don’t get in the way.

My sister’s ex was almost as much of a jerk as this guy. Neither of his kids will have anything to do with him, and neither will anyone else in the family. Not even his own brother.

For once I completely agree with Pat, Todd needs to teach Levi that with adult behavior comes adult responsibilities and it’s time for Levi to step up and be a man, and if he doesn’t step up then I’d waterboard toiletboard his azz!

Liberty or Death on July 13, 2009 at 6:16 PM

A. Probably being too literal again, but the headline doesn’t reflect what was said.

B. The sad thing is, while many would want to do this, the media continues to overlook the fact that the Palins are handling this jerk with class. Even Levi recently stated he gets to see his son when he wants to. Sounds like the Palins are defending themselves from his slander, but still extending every consideration they can to the father of their grandson.

Blame Austin… they want to “Keep it weird”.

Ahem…not all of us have drunk the Kool-Aid down here!

/though I would probably be considered weird by some

If anything, Todd Palin should slam Andrew Sullivan’s head on a marble countertop a few dozen times.

If I were Todd and no longer in the public eye, I’d consider coming after some sleezeball who questions the paternity (and maternity) of my child in public.

Wanna bet on whether he lives in Austin?

MarkTheGreat on July 13, 2009 at 6:26 PM

Hmph, I missed one. Don’t judge us all by the behavior of some.

Andi’d probably enjoy it too much. But yeah, it’d be nice to see him and Levi shut up for a while.

We need to clean house.

HornetSting on July 13, 2009 at 6:19 PM

Good luck with that.

Whoa, Nelly! Don’t even think that out loud!!

The very thought….I can’t breathe…

Sorry, but it’s a lurking fear, and this election was the darkest purple I’ve seen it yet.

Truth is, big cities tend to vote Dem, and Texas has several, all of which (unless I’m mistaken) went for Obama this last election.

We have some of the lowest taxes in the nation, so it’s possible this is all the fault of libs leaving their liberal over-taxed states.

No doubt he helps out financially as well, seeing as he and his family seem to be making lotsa dough for spreading manure meth.

FIFY.

Understood, but you’re the exception.

Austin’s a beautiful city with plenty to offer, but you have a ton of libs over there. Many who were so proud to be able to display a “Texans for Obama” sign, childishly trying to be “different” than what they think most Texans are.
