Pat Buchanan: Maybe it’s time for Todd Palin to push Levi Johnston’s head in a toilet

Via Breitbart, a cool, refreshing, palate-cleansing sorbet playing off this morning’s interview on the Today show, in which LJ reiterated his belief that his child’s grandmother is a super lady who’s also (a) an egomaniac and (b) never going to get his vote for president. Is it appropriate to hope Todd Palin takes violent revenge on a kid who impregnated his teenaged daughter and then became the media’s useful idiot in trying to destroy his wife’s career, all while parlaying it into photo shoots for the likes of GQ? In this as in so many things, I find wisdom in one of Chris Rock’s old bits: I’m not saying Todd should do it, but I’d understand.

Johnston should understand that all of his new friends in the media and at the Lefty blogs all think he’s a stupid, ignorant, bass ackwards, trailer trash, red neck.
As long as he continues to dump all over the Palins, they’ll act nice to him to his face. But in reality they don’t want anything to do with him and “his kind”.
He’s still just a young man, but someday he’ll have an epiphany on all of this and he’ll understand what is driving all this interest in him. He’ll figure it out that it has nothing at all to do with him and who he is as a person, but solely in his ability to do damage to the Palins.

Isn’t it obvious that the Palins have already done the equivalent of a head-flush to this guy when they no-doubt “persuaded” him to attend the convention and pose with their daughter?
And isn’t it also obvious he’s engaging in, at least in his mind, some well-deserved payback?
And isn’t Levi the real redneck here, and proud of it? He’s the honest one at least – not phony Todd in his million-dollar house and his wife’s multi-mil book deal.
What kind of a life is Levi set up for otherwise? How many wannabee electrician-apprentices out there wouldn’t jump at the chance to cash in, however short-term. A lot of white collar workers would just as well.
And I’ll bet he’s even got a nuclear option under his belt, and saving it for next primary season, which may be why the Palins can’t quite figure out how to go after him.

I’m not sure what everyone expected from Trailer Trash Ken; as my grandma once said about my ex-husband, “He isn’t very ambitious, is he, honey?” Levi doesn’t want to get a “real” job any time soon, and I’m guessing the Palins have made certain that their is a child support order in place. So, rather than make something honorable of himself, he’s found it easier to make an ass of himself, with the help of the MSM. Hope he’s banking his fees – when they drop him like a hot rock, he’s going to fall hard.

The left and the MSM won’t let up on Sarah Palin until she is completely destroyed. I slip over to Huffblow (have to take a quick shower before I sit down to my computer) several times a week and there is always some sick comment about Ms. Palin.
The MSM will try to elevate Levi just like they did Scott McClellan when Scott was on his Bush bashing book tour last year. Let Levi have his 15 minutes of fame and the MSM will forget about Levi just like they did “Scott, who”?

I really think that this country flushed its sense of honor and cilvility away when it abolished the practice of dueling. If excrement like Johnston and Sullivan knew that they risked either getting a ball of lead in the chest or being ostracized as a coward for the putrid filth that they spew behind they safety of their keyboard we’d see a much more polite society.

Some people are alive only because it’s illegal to shoot them. Some for good reason (they deserve it)… others not so much.
I’m not so sure that’s a good idea or if it would be effective (you can turn down a duel, but it made you look like a coward… and I for one would probably turn it down).

Thanks for the reminder of why (despite major policy differences) I really like Pat Buchanan. He’s funny as hell and spot on in this instance.

I find it interesting that Bristol Palin is off limits but LJ is an OK target.
They are approximately the same age. Both played an equal role in the unplanned pregnancy. Both have kept themselves in the public eye willingly (LJ’s talk show circuit and BP as an abstinence spokesperson). Both are someone’s child.
So it’s fine to attack Levi Johnston, but you better leave Bristol alone? Right. Nothing hypocritical about that is there.
