[...] Roughly speaking, those 50 jobs cost the American taxpayer $8.32 million per position. If we calculate part-time positions as one-half of a full-time job, the cost per full-time job would be $9.9 million. At that rate, the $787 billion Porkulus package should generate about 79,495 jobs across America — or about what we lose today by 1:37 pm in new unemployment claims. And of course, all of those would last only as long as the stimulus money kept coming to fund them. (H/T – Hot Air) [...]

I've got an even better deal, give me 12.4 million and I'll create 50 jobs for 4 years. Make the initial payout tax-free and I'll make it 100 jobs.

Such a deal!

Some dumb-ass Democrat on Cavuto (with Stuart Varney) just defended TARP by saying that it was a two-year plan. Obama said the same thing about the stimulus bill. Is that their answer now? Everything is a "two-year plan".

Funny, but when TARP and Stimulus were being debated I never heard anybody say that they were two-year plans. I heard all about the "immediate" impact they would have. But, now that they are not working, they were always two-year plans.

<blockquote>They paved over a perfectly good stretch of highway to make it 1.5″ higher and employed a bunch of workers for a three month job.

LOL, I have lived in central NH for almost 40 years, except for a 3 year stint near you, in Newmarket, and as I recall Rt. 101 was always under construction.

BTW they're repaving I-93 up here. Absolutely no need to, but it's the "re-covery" project, remember?
